People don't realise how important Ian Wright was to people back in the 90s. One of the best strikers English football has ever produced. Given the price people are paying for players today, Wrighty would easily be £110m+. With the way defenders are now, he will guarantee you 30+ Prem goals per season too!

Yes well said. Was lucky to see most of his games at Highbury, one of the best epl/English strikers could score any type of goal right & left foot, header, chip, lobs, volley etc... such a great player. My favourite player brilliant striker buy also a great personality I went to games as youngster thinking he'd score every game but also looked forward to his celebrations.

You can understand a league two player trying to get the best deal, if youve agreed 2k a week at Salford and another club offers you 3k, its a big difference especially when they will have to work after football.

Considering he didn’t join Arsenal until he was 28 Wrighty had an amazing career there scoring 128 goals in 221 games and winning the PL, both domestic cups and the European cup winners cup. Only Henry has scored more for them.
