Yeah It’s pretty new for me too. I was exclusively a latte and cappuccino drinker when I started making these vids but black coffee really grows on you the more you drink it and when you find some nice ones. Glad the videos help 👍🏼

I agree these coffees are ideal to take out and about with you. I personally prefer a higher intensity coffee and these mugs are very stylish, I do believe that the aroma is a good as the taste of the coffee itself and the way the smell wafts through the house is just one of my favourite things. Alto intenso for me , plus a shot of espresso on top! I love these Alto mugs/cups! Bought them the other day too , the only thing I would say is that the handle should be bigger or better positioned, but that's just my husband's feedback who didn't pay for the mugs but always there to offer valuable feedback 🤣😂🤣😂

That sounds like something I need to try! Which espresso pod do you tend to pour over it? I’ll pay a bit more attention to that handle placement the next time I use them 👍🏼

I got these for Christmas. I use them quite often. I agree with you in that I prefer the Alto Intenso vs Dolce. Spoons are not good as full handle gets covered in coffee.

Nice video as always. I use around 10 each of those pods a month. but I use them in a travel mug with milk and sugar. the mugs look fantastic. I'm going to buy those mugs. but tbh i won't ever use them tbh with those pods. I will use them for milk-based drinks.

I was thinking the same, why isn’t it double-walled? Guess the weight has something to do with that decision as it will already weigh around 1kg once filled with liquid!

I think you should compare the alto to the pour over. I don't think there is that much difference. The pour over is only 4 oz more

We don’t actually get the pour over in the uk yet but will try that if it does come here. Will need to buy another Vertuo Next though as think it’s exclusive to that machine isn’t it 😅

The Alto capsules are bigger than the Mug capsules? Or they are the same?

Hi, they're a lot bigger than the mug size. Mug size are 230ml and Alto are 414ml. Hope this helps.

Think the alto capsules are being discontinued in the UK soon too. Wondering if we’ll get the pour over style capsules they have for the Vertuo Next in the US instead. Seemed that way from the images in the email they sent.

Yeah it's certainly not as good as the shorter coffees they do but I was surprised at the flavour you do get. Serves a purpose for those with long commutes I guess 🤔

My husband takes one Alto to work his shift as an ER doctor. Two cups of 6 oz coffee is not much for a 12-14 hour shift. Unless you have ever had to work that length of time, perhaps refrain from judgment? I just wish they had more options, as there are only two here in the US - one strong and one light. And the pour-overs are very watery.

Have you tried cutting the drink short (manually pressing the start button) partway through to see if it is more to your liking, taste wise?

Yeah when we started doing the videos we weren’t sure if we should use our names or not, so got in the habit of saying ‘my wife’ then. Difficult habit to break now 😅 We’re Adam and Abi by the way and will do my best.
