i really admire Nessa always being so open with her mental health and openly using words like “depressed” and “dissociate” like it’s not big deal and talking about how she gets depressed all the time and dissociates all the time. because we live in a society that says they’d support you if you opened up, but the second you start opening up and saying you’re depressed or you’re dissociating they all tell you you’re looking for attention or faking because if you weren’t, you wouldn’t talk about it. i don’t like to mention i have depression or adhd because i get scared people will see me as someone who’s faking or looking for attention since i’m openly talking about it. but seeing Nessa always talk so openly about that stuff has made me feel a lot better about talking about it recently.

I can’t handle how she won’t just say she’s so much happier because she’s with Jaden lol I think she will only understand with time that she attaches way too much of her self worth in men/relationships. The indirect way she answers questions is unnerving. Excited to see her mature

Not at all imo. If you’re in a toxic environment surrounded by people who aren’t good for you, no matter how strong you are and how hard you work on yourself, there will always be some sort of effect because it’s hard to heal and grow in those environments. So when you are finally surrounded by good people and have healthy relationships, it really does create a big difference in your energy and lifestyle. I think when she alludes to her relationship with Jaden making her happy now it’s because she may not have had that kind of support system before, so obviously it’s making her much happier now. I mean, she’s started going to therapy, she regularly works out and is working a lot on her career… sometimes being surrounded by the right people will in turn, help us. Don’t think it’s a dilemma of self worth considering she’s recently talking about how proud she is of herself and how excited she is about her life.
