if you set it around 50 it will save you more money, The downside is it will take longer to heat up. Its a balance really and will depend on the property and also the heat loss. Thanks for watching.

I have the logic plus too. If connected with openthem (as we both are) the setting on the nest for the flow temperature overrides the boiler setting. This is the same too for the hot water temperature. Setting the flow temperature on the nest at only 50 defeats the point of openthem control. (Sorry Alan!). Set this higher, on a cold start the flow temperature will be much higher for a short period and get the house temperature increased faster; as the room temperature get closer to its target the flow temperature is reduced anyway

Basically, current thermostat, sends a signal when heat is needed, everything else done by the electric boiler. Thermostat is battery powered, but live wire (220V) is connected to it. This wire goes directly to my electric heater. If this is possible, which two connectors on the Heat Link should I use, and do I have to "jump" any of the connections? The glaringly obvious omission with my Nest thermostat is the option to choose just one hour of heating. I used that often on my old controller if I was up late on a weekend evening. You know those those occasions where the heating’s turned off according to schedule then you feel the slight chill an hour later? The one hour button was perfect for those occasions. Now I have to turn the thermostat up to get the heat working again. Not difficult I know but the amount of times I’ve woken up in the early hours, melting in my bed, because I forgot to turn it back down ☹️
