Rio Ferdinand was a top 5-10 defender. Nesta was a top 3 for years. Same Nesta level, above Rio were Maldini, Stam, Cannavaro and Thuram.

Nesta, absolutely no question. Ferdinand was a great defender, Nesta was a GOD-mode defender.
