Same here. If a GK has 5* potential, I would want him regardless. Always would have 2 good GKs in my team, because there was a time my 1st choice was injured, and I needed to play a kid there for a few weeks. While the kid has 3+* potential and the team was still winning, it woke me up to the idea of having more than 1 great GK. 😅

One with perfect goals keepers and the rest of the squad average, A team with perfect defenders and rest of the squad average, Team with perfect midfielders and average rest of squad Then a team with perfect strikers and average rest of the squad and see which one does better? They aren't perfect, just world class, 200/200 ability. Defenders at a team in 1 vid, midfielders in the next, then strikers. Same team same manager. Same everything else. Who can be the most successful?

And again i like this kind of experiments but people tend to forget important aspects to get a representable result. The small keeper would have much more agility and balanced, since he get a much bigger hit in jumping and aerial he should get a lot more agility and balance

Yeah thats the growth variables that I believe height offers. I also think for outfield players, the smaller players improve their pace at a better rate

Interesting concept! A few points noted (and sorry for my usual long-windedness. Helps in making you fall asleep, surely. 😅) 1. One had Right foot only, the other Left, but ended up developing his other foot. A waste of CA for GKs, but ... have too many points to distribute, i guess. 2. I guess EPL needed a Taller GK because of all the heading? Anyway, feared for Smalland for a while. Glad that he moved and eatablished himself! Other leagues are more "technical" (this fact could be outdated) and so height is nowhere as important. I guess. 🤷‍♂️ 3. A GK, or rather a 4.5* - 5* GK can play to 35 - 37yo without a huge drop in ability. (I keep outfield players till 33yo, not a big problem at all). 4. As said in another comment, my team must have 2 great GKs so that when one is injured, the other must at least be a 3*-er, ideally with minimum 4* Potential. Even at the age of 27yo. 😅 Given that my backup players would play at least 10+ matches minimum, together with internationals, they would get the 20+ matches required to maintain their CAs. 5. Stating the obvious, but ... a GK is very easy to develop. Just keep playing them. FYI - Next are CBs (train Mark Tightly and we are good to go.) 6. A pity, but we didnt get to see how height made a diff to their careers. Still entertaining though. *. Hope you have gotten more sleep. 😌🙏㊗️🪷

To be honest I think the team each keeper played on a makes a large difference. Playing for Real Madrid, since they always dominate the league, there were probably far less shots on target, and in my experience if a keeper keeps a clean sheet even against no shots (tends to happen a ton after spending a few seasons to gather a broken team at Barca or Real), they still will always get a 7+ match rating.

In my FM20 save as Milan (2054 now and still counting), when my keeper has nothing to save, his rating would be 6.8. Most of the time I would have clean sheets in the league. So, it likely should be a 6.8 for our 157cm GK here too. That will not get him the PoM award.

Also he’s on an AI team, he probably doesn’t have nothing to save because the ai isn’t as good as building broken teams or tactics as the player, but he probably only makes a few saves a game at Real Madrid, whereas the player at Newcastle might make way more saves each game but get a lower match rating because he let one in.

I checked out how most ai uses be scanned data from google searches. So mid journey would actually get companies like game producers sued for copyright or ip theft if they used it to add better faces in the game by themselves. Cool you can use it, but arguably not legal for them to even function as an ai art generation company. I like the MidJ faces in the videos though. Less horrific to look at hahah.

Why wouldn't you just create 2 similar teams/players with equal attributes? Then just change the height of the goalies. Then just have the teams play each other so you can do a fair comparison and eliminate all the other variables.
