Looking at government and defense contracts, net90 and 120 are common. Brutal.

Yeah, those are a no go zone for me. 120 is wild. I know that there is big money there, but you need a long runway to weather any storms the govt can cause.

Oh yikes, thats a hard pass for me. I' had a company who wanted to do NET90 and I declined the contract. Once I declined they changed it to NET30. You've got to be willing to walk away from a bad deal sometimes. Its all up to you though. I've heard too many horror stories of companies not paying. I knew a consulting firm who lost 1 Million dollars because the client kept saying "we will pay, we will pay, etc etc" and then finally they went belly up.
