Hello, I put 30000 drops of deep oil in the plastic spur gear on the center diff side of the Tenacity db pro rc car in the same car as the second car. Is there any problem with putting 30000 drops of differential oil?
@netcruzer2 жыл бұрын
No problem. I’m not sure what diff oil weight they use stock. If you get a lot of power ballooning to the front wheels, go even thicker.

@3:04 You forgot to mention the Losi Ten Scbe the previous Losi before they came up with the Tenacity and Tenacity pro. I happen to own the Losi Ten scbe (black&green) and its pretty much the same as the Tenacity pro, however the pro has the aluminum shocks and lights and the smart technology. It's a great looking vehicle.🤘🏻😎
@jdmikeg44 жыл бұрын
** On the Tenacity stadium truck version** Cheap aluminum on shock towers. 100% chance the rear towers will bend. Design flaw, the rear bumper is mounted too high on the rear shock tower. Any hit to the rear bumper will bend the rear shock tower. I actually "upgraded" to the stock plastic rear shock tower. The front shock tower is fine and doesn't bend. Good luck all!

That plastic wrench is unacceptable. I actually used it on my new losi 22s st on the wheel nut and it literally cracked immediately. That could be a problem for newer drivers with limited tools. No reason they can't include a cheap metal 4 way wrench.
@netcruzer5 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It’s a garbage useless tool.
@cwatson427852 жыл бұрын
@Vape N Clash Yeah same here but I'm thinking of the kid getting into the hobby. And you'd be surprised how many of some kids fathers have never turned a wrench let alone own one lol. That creates a problem for sure. Then they have to go off and buy something to remove them which you're kinda limited on tools you can use and would probably have to use a socket and then your buying a whole set. I'm just saying some small minor issue can turn into a huge inconvenience for some owners/families. I'm sure a small metal 4 way wrench instead of plastic would only cost them a extra 5 cents lol

How's the truck been running? have you noticed any play with the Spektrum Servo? I have the Tenacity T (green/white) which came with the S605 also and noticed some play with it. When I looked it up, its all plastic inside, next thing I plan on upgrading. Already upgraded to the full aluminum kit on mine after my daughter hit a column and broke the chassis, but it was a blessing in disguise because it really needs the kit.
@netcruzer4 жыл бұрын
I’ve had no problem with the included electronics. Only thing I’ve done on mine is break rod ends.

I haven't broken any rod ends yet, I did break a wheel today playing in the snow, broken the hub clean off. I liked what you did with the Proline slingshots, I picked up a set of Proline sand paws 2.8" to try out, Slingshots don't come in 2.8"

Hey John how have you liked this truck? Also have you seen the new tt pro sct they announced that's the same chassis as this? I'm thinking of grabbing it 😁
@netcruzer5 жыл бұрын
I like it a lot, although I have broken something minor on it every run so far. Just shot a clip today and broke a shock rod end. Mostly because it’s winter/cold I suppose. Platform seems quite good. But it has a few annoyances. I don’t like the battery tray it doesn’t allow long batteries or easy height adjust. The new TT looks OK, same thing different shell. It should be acceptable to race in short course 4x4 class if you want to race. The DB pro looks better, has lights, cage, drivers etc but it’s not race legal in that form.
@cwatson427855 жыл бұрын
@@netcruzer Great points John. The TT has lights too. But I'm surprised about your tough luck with breakages. Seems others who own it have nothing but great things to say about it. In fact this is the first time hearing anything negative. That could be the cold like you said which definitely makes it a whole different ball game in the cold that you are in. Only reason I didn't get the db and am going with the TT pro is I already own the typhon 3s which is similar. Not as upgraded but still is a similar platform. I guess the tt isn't too different from the db with it being the same chassis but you probably know what I mean. Wish you better luck with it bud 🍻
@netcruzer5 жыл бұрын
Chris Watson I’ve mostly been breaking rod ends on turnbuckles. Likely do to cold. Razor RC also said diffs and outdrive cups wear out fast on 3S. I’ve not experienced that yet but I only have a few 3S runs on it.

This is probably the perfect car for most buyers. This is what the slash should have been. The body design allows this car to fly through the air better. No parachuting like the slash. It's about the same size as the slash, so it's easy to carry out to the field and back when the batteries are dead. Plus it's built on the racing chassis. I just don't like the transmitter. It looks and feels cheap. I like the easy to work on layout. Pretty good support at local hobby shops, but still shy of the Traxxas offerings.

I don't know why we waist so much time showing the remote transmitter in most reviews , its the fit and finish my 1987 Tyco Turbo Hopper came with. I understand the value is in the car , not the radio and thats great , gotta cut costs somewhere , but a quick flash would be sufficient.
@netcruzer5 жыл бұрын
I consider what you use to control the RC quite important and worth a few minutes discussing the design and features. Most don’t change what it comes with.
