THIS is a good use for 'waterproof' rated RC Trucks IMO. Far more entertaining and infinately cleaner than mud holes. And much truer to 'scale' than playing U-boat commander as some are strangely compelled to do.

Kind of hard to tell what size really does better in the snow. The wide ones have a lot of bite but these narrow truck size ones seem to cut through snow like it's on rails. I have rustler 4x4. I've seen them ran on UDR paddles and seem to really eat. As much as I hate snow I have a glimpse of happiness to look forward to

The wider sand paws have a lot more grip and traction. These slingshots don’t have many advantages IMO, besides being thinner and carving turns better.

Something weird happened. AVC seems offline totally. I firmware updated the radio so the AVC dial is now working as steering rate only. AVC seems turned off, I need to check the spektrum app see what happened.

Does this pack with snow a lot? I've been running a Senton 3s this winter and it gets packed with snow, especially around the fat plastic driveshaft. It's been pretty rough on the bearings as well and I've had to replace the esc. Been considering this or the TT version but would just wait till winters over if it has similar issues.

My personal experience with the DB Pro is both filled with pro and cons. My first run I pulled the rod end off the shock. Second run I broke the rear axle carrier/hub. Third run no issues. Forth run no issues. Runs after no issues. Eventually I installed the Bluetooth module and I didn't like it. Can't use the little switch on top to adjust the power output. I removed it thinking it would go back to stock settings, it didn't. After that I just bound it to my DX5 Rugged. This was fairly recent. I have to read the manual to figure out where the steering trim is as it turns slightly right constantly. That's not a big deal, but what is is I used to flip the switch on the old transmitter to 30% to get to the trails, but now I can't, at least not figured out how to yet. The tires have separated from the wheel in spots on 2s (only way I run mine). The only other thing out of the box was the toe was crazy positive. The broken parts were typically my fault and I can't knock it as being a bad rc. I'm used to 1/8 scale and larger so there is a learning curve both for handling and air control. It does jump flat most often but when you get crossed up, and try to correct, it's nearly instant. Overall, it's a good rc, but will need tuned in to meet your driving desires.

Which do you prefer? This Losi Tenacity DB pro, Redcat Camo X4, Losi Rock Rey or Arrma Granite BLX? I am thinking of getting one of those and just looking around what people think on each of those RCs and what they like the most.

For a fun Basher The granite 4x4 BLX is best bang for buck in that list. Tenacity DB is more of a short course race truck in disguise (or get the TT pro and you can race it SCT). The other two are fun rock bouncers with solid rear axle, but has rollovers on turns easily.

I like the Granite a lot when I saw it last year then over a month ago I saw the Losi DB pro including your videos and loved it instantly but I'm concerned about the specific Spektrum battery and charger that it needs. Can I use any other lipo 2 or 3S with it just use an adapter? I also have an old Vaterra Rallycross ford fiesta, it's good but has low ground clearance being a rally car so my other thought is going back to getting a Granite.

John Mark Cristobal you can adapt any 2S or 3S lipo to the new LOSI spektrum smart stuff easily. Amazon or your LHS has EC5 adapters. That’s what you need. EC5 works with IC5. I got EC5 to deans.

John Mark Cristobal the Granite will give you the ground clearance for sure. It’s more plastic but I’ve not broken one plastic axle yet.

Question bud what causes a brushless motor to act like it’s internally locking itself when it gets wet. What’s happening is almost kind of like that hard to explain LVC brake on Arrma cars but weirder This happens when car dies and battery is disconnected / the cars wheels don’t want to move because the motor is ceasing. Via magnet brake 🤔 Then I undo 1 yellow motor lead and it’s fine or any Lead and it’s fine. Hook that lead back up and still tight motor magnets holding like a brake. Sounds messed I know I’m at a loss don’t know why this would be happening. I have a VXL 1/16 revo Any ideas I’d luv to hear. 👊😀

Sounds super weird. No idea but if it’s off and batt disconnected and it works fine normally on power I wouldn’t chase it too much. Just use it. If it wasn’t a wire I’d say motor bearings.

Netcruzer RC TECH CARS If moisture gets into the windings in the motor past the bearings it will cause possible motor binding. I’ll replace bearings and see how that works. ❤️👊😀 Much luv bro. Thanks.

No AVC get dial with no problem! Something else is wrong!if you ride should put the receiver in radio box! It what I done to mine!

I installed Bluetooth and firmware updated the DX2E. Snow now my AVC dial is working as steering rate only. I think AVC is turned off, I need to check what happened in the spektrum dashboard.

Yeah I know but I didn’t have enough hands for that while recording. Steering was priority. I wouldn’t say I’m a traxxas man but I do like how TSM works way more than AVC
