Devilman along with its ending is the different type of story we were missing. However sad it was, however shocking it was: it was beautiful. Like many say, it's something most people aren't prepared for. With no hesitation it's my favorite anime of all time. It should get much more credit, like being in everyone's top ten anime of all time, at least.

I saw Ryo's progression as well. Like he wasn't human, the way he talked about humans and their emotions was like he wasn't human himself. Ep 9 really settled that theory of mine last night. I saw the last episode and I can't believe they tore apart everybody and put them on sticks. It broke me down b/c it feels like it could be a reality if demons DID live in this world like the anime. This anime really told a life lesson that humans grow attached to things and can love things that are not of the highest value. It doesn’t matter if something is weak or strong most people don’t go by standard logic when they talk about something personal to them , they only speak with their emotions. This is the lesson Ryo learns at the end of the anime, but by the time he gained this knowledge he was all alone.
