Devilman along with its ending is the different type of story we were missing. However sad it was, however shocking it was: it was beautiful. Like many say, it's something most people aren't prepared for. With no hesitation it's my favorite anime of all time. It should get much more credit, like being in everyone's top ten anime of all time, at least.

The ending was lackluster with the reveal and the fight, but the scene with Ryo crying over Akira realizing he loved him only for him to be dead was pretty heart wrenching for me. Knowing he's gonna relive killing him over and over again and Akira saying he was crying was nodding to the fact that Ryo was crying over killing Akira, even though he knew he was gonna die like subconsciously fucked me up. I think he meant akiras death being the plot twist. I sure wasn’t expecting that... i was almost certain that he was going to somehow managed to defeat ryo but when i saw his body there i was like what the fuck? and then ryo actually feeling something. It showed he was finally beginning to understand humans and it was because he felt something for akira. He experienced loss and it was someone who showed him what it meant to human. ☹️

Devilman along with its ending is the different type of story we were missing. However sad it was, however shocking it was: it was beautiful. Like many say, it's something most people aren't prepared for. With no hesitation it's my favorite anime of all time. It should get much more credit, like being in everyone's top ten anime of all time, at least.

I saw Ryo's progression as well. Like he wasn't human, the way he talked about humans and their emotions was like he wasn't human himself. Ep 9 really settled that theory of mine last night. I saw the last episode and I can't believe they tore apart everybody and put them on sticks. It broke me down b/c it feels like it could be a reality if demons DID live in this world like the anime. One person says something nice about a devil, I could see a mob going to kill them. I couldn't believe there wasn't no Miki fans protecting her, just the rappers r.i.p Hero a real fool 10/10.
