This is the best movie ever!! Couldn't be anymore perfect timing for it to come out with my almost 11 year old daughter dealing with school, bullying, & learning to be a cool girl stuff. This really helped her to see things differently, & learn about being jewish which she thought was so rad. I cried during Lydias entrance video both times it was shown bc it reminded me of how cruel girls can be in middle & highschool, & how easy it can be to want to take revenge on even your own friends. The video shows years of their amazing friendship and how easy a boy or being cool in school can change that. I loved the movie beginning to end every minute.
@lunallena5594

The movie was nice, except it ran too long, and had some really gross and mean parts among the young girls that made it unwatchable, far beyond what Adam Sandler's tackiest jokes, which are tolerable for his adult comedies made for adults. Maybe that was part of the original book, but I, as a parent, would have toned it down for those parts.

This was such a heartwarming movie that captures the nuance (if exaggerated…) of teenage life. Though men, PLEASE, we need to stop this rhetoric of girls becoming “women” as soon as they get their period. 9 year old girls are not “becoming women.” This rhetoric is harmful to girls’ (children’s) identity and society’s expectations of them.

Because everything is an advertisement. There was an old sketch from the 80s involving a talking Coke machine. A guy just wants a soda and the Coke machine says “have you seen Ishtar??? This is one of the rare movies that casted actual teens of the same age as their characters. Instead of hiring 20 & 30 year olds.

This was a book? This doesn’t look good at all. Sandler hasn’t made a good movie in awhile.

The Sandler Dynasty grows. I love how Sandler brings the family into his projects. This movie looks funny AF. I was just about to cancel my Netflix and this new Sandler movie just got me rethinking that lol.

So you're completely okay with nepotism, and the fact that his daughters, who are not professionally trained actresses and don't have any real great acting talent, are being put in leading roles over actresses who are actually professionally trained and have great talent? If you don't see how extremely toxic and problematic this behavior is, you are part of the problem.

 @breebartkowiak9324 So if a woman owns a restaurant, and her husband has worked there almost as long as she owns it, and their kids start working there to learn the business, that should be frowned upon and unaccepted? If you don't see how childish and narrow minded your train of thought is, then you are part of the problem.

@@breebartkowiakova chill tf out. It's just a netflix teen movie, not a goddam box office Oscar contender. Adam probably wrote/produced the movie specifically for his kids, and if that's the case, it's only natural he would cast them.

I have a question about this movie. Why does the female Rabi say to the character, I am going to put on my tough love hat and then there is a longer shot at the "Misfit Schull" logo on top of her Yamika? That brand is known to be horror, violent about girls and has lyrics to songs that are devil worship? With so much out there about the satanic worship in the entertainment industry, why would Happy Madison Productions promote something like that? What subliminal messages are they putting out to young people?

This would have been a cute movie but the way the kids talk to their parents is so disrespectful. They always keep saying “ Oh my God!” Like it’s nothing. Or freaking this or that. Not good. 😖😖

Struggled to stay awake..it’s not funny, there is no logic, it’s a cliched plot. I think the 97% Rotten Tomatoes rating is from critics who are too afraid of the woke crowd who would come after them if they were to criticise a badly directed girl/woman/lady centric film. If you are coming for Adam Sandler, he doesn’t exist in the movie
