The twisted smile Gendo had when the Eva moved is well.. twisted. He knows damn well that’s Yui protecting her son. That’s why he got Shinji, he knew she’d respond to seeing her son. Holy shit. This series is fascinating. Gendo might be the worst person known to man, but he sure as hell is a clever written character.

It would've been better if he embraced it and never doubted or questioned himself again. Studied Miyamotō Musashi's Dokkōdō and accepted his lot in this life. And yes, I do know what happens, the Angels must be stopped however + Gendo Ikari & SEELE plan titled Human Instrumentality Project. I certainly don't want to be 1 blob with all human souls & consciousness, I prefer my Individuality shielded by my Anti-Terror Fieldō. But Shinji should just embrace and dedicate himself to it, his doubtfulness, his indecision costed more lives & resources than any other feat, his ½ measures.

I have the Japanese blu-ray box from Shin Seiki Evangelion, but, it called my attention this says it's "multi-audio", it's still great to watch it here and also knowing you can finally now upload more audio tracks for a video on YT. Hope everyone uploads like that their videos, whenever is possible, the original Japanese version is the only one when it comes to anime and Japanese entertainment.

I still liked how Unit-01 actively protected Shinji. At first I thought it was cool thinking that the Eva's had their own mind and consciousness but after looking into the anime more, I learnt that it was really Shinji's mother who's soul is within the Eva. And Gendo's twisted smile when unit-01 protected shinji was what made me think that there was more to the action than what I had thought.

It's Evangelion, as you may know, it's a classic and legendary anime, now the comments could be from Latin American countries or Spain, other comments are in Portuguese and 1 in French, by the way. In LatAm, it's a very iconic anime that left a mark in people's mind, so, some will follow it where it goes. Also, this video was uploaded with different audio tracks and it has a dub for Latin America, depending on your language settings, one of them will be played by default, you can change the tracks in the player settings.
