She and her mother seem to have similar thought patterns (referenced by the penguin joke in the original comment). There is a genetic component to autism. It's funny how pretty much any kitchen that has machinery made by Hobart just calls whatever it is "the Hobart". I'm willing to bet your Starbucks Hobart is not the same thing that gave me a massive scar while working in a pizza place. She of course refuses to get diagnosed despite that it would help her, because back when she was young in a holier than thou Christian little village being abnormal was seen as being bad and a punishment from God. Ugh. Pretty sure my uncle has it too, and my grandmother. I wonder if this kind of seemingly hereditary autism differs in genes from the spontaneous kind that neurotypical people can get autistic children with.
