I was excited to watch this documentary but within the first minute they played a stereotypical Panjabi song in the background, Panjab (or India) has nothing to do with this documentary, I would rather love it if you had used traditional regional songs from Chitwan. Nepal also has a lot to offer culturally in our own unique way and we do not need to reach to Indian culture (India has an amazing culture as well)

Netflix, the background music used in the first minute of your video is not Nepalese music and does not align with any Nepalese traditions or religions. There a common theme between the two women interviewed here. The only care for the rhino in context to their income. Shop keeper only care for the rhino because they bring tourists, and the farmer even wishes there were fewer rhinos due to losing her crop to them. I understand the practical need to making a living, but my fear is that this creates a mindset where the respect for nature and its animals will only be measured by financial self-interest. During economic hard times, who to say that the people here, living side-by-side with the rhinos won't turn on them, hunting them down for their ivory and justify their atrocity on a bad economy.
@siddharthagajurel76569 ай бұрын
I agree with the question you raised above, of course people do need to get more aware of why and how we inhabite the wildlife in such a way, not just the mindset of economy but also giving back the territory of animals , or separate the lands and planting some feeding crops to animals.

Westeners should stop preaching about saving the planet or saving the wildlife to the Eastern people. You have no wildlife to begin with cause you poached them, killed them hundreds of years ago. Killed animals for exotic meat, leather, ivory and whatnot. Your ancestors exterminated most of the animals from Europe and North America. Almost exterminated many Whales and dolphin's species. Stop preaching to us what to do with our wildlife. We respect them and care for them, we will find a way to co-exist.
