Dear Professor/Nuwan! I think you talked about the answer to my question in a previous program but I can't find it. In short, my question is that even though history records the valuable contribution made by great king Parakramabahu towards the development of the country, there is no information about the contribution he made towards religion(Buddhism). Appreciate your attention. Thank you and keep up your great work.
Can you please comment on what happened to the Israelist & Jews by 1930's. Why did they migrate to European countries like Germany, Russia, Hungary, Poland etc, in the 2nd world war more than hundred of millions were murderded. When the 2 nd world war finished & after forming UN , the survivors were given the choice to go to the newly formed Israel which they established among the Arabian nations. Sir, isn't that the reason for this conflict for decades between Israel & other Muslim countries?

The learned Professor skipped key parts of history that contributed to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Professor jumped from the pre-Christian era to 1988. He skipped the 19th-century Zionist movement initiated by the Jewish diaspora living in different countries (mainly in Europe). They were discriminated against by the Europeans. At the time, for historical reasons, Jews had no country and wanted a Jewish country. In 1948, Israel was created inside the country then known as Palestine. Before it was created the UN proposed a two-state solution (Palestine and Israel), but Israel refused to agree. This led to the first Israel-Arab conflict in 1948. The UK, which occupied this land until 1948, also played a role here. Since 1948, Israel has discriminated against Palestine. I am not endorsing any form of violence by PLO, Hamas etc, including the aircraft high-jacking in the 1960s, and the murder of Munich Olympic athletes in 1972 etc. But Israel is the aggressor here.
