Let's take the word 'pooja'. Many Indo-Lankan languages use this word. It's a way of worshipping gods. But how ?. The original Tamil pronunciation is 'poosai'. Meaning 'doing with flower'. In Tamil 'poo' means flower & 'sai' is equivalent to 'sei' means do. Several thousand years later Sanskrit language borrowed this Tamil word 'poosai' and changed it as 'pooja'. Although in sanskrit they don't call flowers as 'poo' they use the word pooja where 'ja' doesn't have a meaning. Except Tamil, in other languages without knowing the proper meaning people are just using the word 'pooja' for worshipping. This is the reality. I can give many examples to prove Tamil is the oldest classical language. You can understand this with the word etymology. Ex. The word 'Temple' is originally from the Tamil word 'Thenpulam' meaning the south pole (southern region). 'Peninsula' is originally a Tamil word. 'Penin' = woman's ('pen' means woman in Tamil) 'sula' = womb ('sool' means womb in Tamil) So you get the meaning : A land mass extends towards the sea like a bump in a woman's womb / stomach. Here also the same. No one knows the real meaning, just using the word Peninsula. There are many more proofs.
