Yes would enjoy seeing the networking videos. Without any sort of networking settings or firewalls, etc everything is wide open. Home network or big time miner doesnt matter. People are connecting more devices every year to the network... So would be wise to not leave the miners wide open

Ubiquiti has great stuff, I've had experience with their cloud key/ui/management/vlan a bit ago and it is not as suitable for what I want to do with pfsense/virtualization with vmware as I had a few routing/port/software issues with ubiqutii and thats where HP has always worked better for me. UI is awesome for ubiquti but its just not as enterprise, tride and true as HP/Netgear/cisco switches! Plus ubiquiti you are essentially tied into the whole software ecosystem which is nice but its like Apple lol.

One of them is dropping from around 50 Mhs which is what it should be getting al the way down to 20-30 mhs . I haven’t messed with anything setting really. Should I try and get a replacement? Hey i know this is a older video and i dont know if you read the comments on this but i just wanted to make a note that like a week ago i scavenged a stack of 20 HP procurve switches from my workplace and now YT promoted me about this video 😄. Got multiple gigabit PoE's and without. Half are just 10/100 PoE's and without. Im still trying to figure out how to use the console port. Got the cables but i am unable to connect to them. Also got a bunch of the 1310nm fiber modules too. Others trash is sometimes someone elses treasure. Employer just threw them away as they bought newer ones.

Nice. Just bear in mind that even if you're using a 10gb switch the devices connected to it will determine what speed the ports operate at. Usually 1gb for consumer motherboards. Additionally, to get better throughout to the internet your modem or or router at your demarc would need to be 10gb straight to the 10gb switch. Then your is speed would be the limiting factor. I'm in the discord if you have any questions. Lol
@RedPandaMining
@RedPandaMining 4 жыл бұрын
Oh don't worry I fully know that :D I'm a networkin guy for like 12 years now *unfortunately, super burnt out*. But yea 10gbe routing only works if its on the same subnet and on the same vlan/switch. If 10gbe routing needs to be done through different vlans then my pfsense router would need 10gbe nics which it wont, so anything 10gbe I am doing will be on the same internal subnet thats for sure. Internet I def wont/cant get 10gbe anyways so for me it is just internal stuff.

Ive had issues with uniquiti routing/vlanning with other switches in the past. That is why I have not gone with ubiquiti. Cacti is one of the softwares used by many network admins, next to like solarwinds and a few other snmp polling softwares.

You can connect a regular non mang switch to a vlanned switch as long as the port is untagged on that vlan to pass the traffic, some small unmanaged switches are not able to see the untagged/tagged ports on a switch, usually the really really cheap brands but any of the like linksys/netgear small switches will work

Start mining Pi, the cryptocurrency will be launched this year, and once it does, you won't be able to mine anymore. You don't need graphics cards you only need your phone, which is cloud mining. It doesn't consume battery. It's on coinmarketcap in the untracked listing. On the marketplace, there are already transactions for a value of $100 approx and when you just download the app you mine at 0.25 pis/hour. Use my code as an invitation. Code: Chutsky Download the app Pi network.

After seeing your stylish RGB mouse pad, led runway landing light and rgb computer case, I thought you were a man of style that must respect the superior beauty and functionality of light based tech (aka photonics)?
