Excellent video, i was craving for some time to enjoy it! I used to work in a company where we were a lot of guitar players. A colleague of mine recommended me to use amplitube and another colleague to go with neural dsp. The main reason for that is that I wanted to experiment with a lot of amps and effects to record stuff, where the other one juste wanted to have a library of already set up amp to play in his room. I think the main difference between those 2 plugins is how you plan to use it. I feel like neural dsp is more the Swiss knife of amps, you can easily get any sound that suits you to play. Amplitube in the other hand is more a guitar studio embedded in the computer. Both have a lot of advantages and a few inconveniences. But there is no competing between those two because they serve different purposes. I like that both your videos emphasize this. It’s very instructive as always. Thanks a lot for the high quality of your explanations

I appreciate your nice and eloquent comment my friend! I agree on your point of view. They’re both different, both great in their own right for a particular user. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I hope you’re having a good weekend my friend!

Amplitube gives you more bang for the buck. More choice and flexibility for the price. Combine with ToneX and it’s pretty insane. Neural DSP sounds amazing right out of the gate, has beautiful interfaces, but is quite expensive. Archetype Rabea is very cool, the way it combines normal guitar with a synth. Some very unique sounds.

I agree 100% my friend, amplitube is the goat for sure. I hope IK keeps releasing new updates and new amps!! I wish they’d do like the amplified nation stuff or Revv idk 🤣🤣 just more moooooreeeeeee🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 thanks for your comment friend!! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm with you the way on amplitube. I'm just not clear as to the main advantage(s) of adding Tone X. I'm on a budget, but I do want to get the best bang for my buck. I'm going to look it up, but I'd love to hear your thoughts...

@Itsjorgelanzas9 ай бұрын

For those wondering: I watched the video to the end. There is a twist at the end. Then I got the point!

One thing I hate (tough word I know) about NeuralDSP is that huuuuge CPU consumption. On my M1, it takes about 3 seconds to load Amplitube VS around 20 seconds to load Archetype Cory Wong. But I love this Neural DSP because, referring to another video you made, I don’t need more than 3 amps to do my things.

My problem is that i WANT THEM ALL🤣🤣, and it’s too much money for now, i can’t justify that expense, like there’s no need just DESIRE😈 🤣 Annnd!!!!! 😱😱😱 WHAT!?! They haven't integrated the plugins and QC yet... they need to deliver on this rather than sell on futures. Were you paid by Neural for this video? It does seem like an advertisement.
@Itsjorgelanzas9 ай бұрын
🤣🤣🤣 man, I hope they do too. And I wish I got paid, I just have used enough plugins and seen some TERRIBLE ones, we’re quick to bash the bad ones, but never give praise to the good ones. I’m mostly an amplitube user, but I’m not blind or deaf 🤣 so I know a good product when I use one, and since I already did a video genuinely praising Amplitube, I felt like I should praise Neural for being at the cutting edge of innovation, they’re not perfect, but I’m not either, and we all make mistakes every day of our lives, I can see they’re working hard, I hear it, I see it and it translates. But, I’d take the payment 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑 do you use their plugins? Have you had a bad experience?
@LaurenceRutherford9 ай бұрын
No I don't use neural plug-ins... I mainly use Amplitube (plus some Tonex now) and very occasionally BIAS FX2, but Positive grid seem to have lost the way with FX2. Your Amplitube content is very good.. keep the Amplitube/Tonex stuff coming.

Damn, I keep missing you when you're on. Well now what the hell do we have here?! You see now I have to watch this one, because I thought we are already agreed that the Neural "a la carte ripoffery" wasn't worth it?!! Hmmm, I'll check out what you've got to say my friend. But damn it at some point we've got to get up the proverbial fence! Is neural really that much better in quality in specifications, per amp model , etc etc Oh geez, my head's going to explode. Hope all is well J-man.😎🤘

Doug my brother! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 all is well my friend, watch the video! I’m just speaking some truth!!! This guys are killing it, but, spoiler hahaha I say that amplitube is still best for me 🤣🤣🤣 hope all is well with you my friend!!!

@@Itsjorgelanzas Yeah, I checked it out. Great job as always, you keep up that great energy & enthusiasm while the channel grows (and hopefully 💥soon enough). for me and my needs, it's pretty much a no-brainer. All is well here señor. FYI, I just put on my first set of cobalt strings, as opposed to my usual EB Slinky's. Haven't tried them yet, but players like Slash Hudson and others swear by them. Any thoughts? What strings do you use incidentally?? PS, you might want to consider adjusting the title of this video, to in some way piggyback off of your similarly titled one from a while back. It could make things a bit more clear.🤘✌️
@Itsjorgelanzas9 ай бұрын
I’m right there with you my friend. And in terms of strings, I use EB paradigm, they are amazing like a week, then last me like idk 4 months being good, and then they start feeling vintage 🤣 but, I’ve used cobalt and liked them, I feel they make a guitar come alive, maybe they’re louder? I may go to those cause strings feel too expensive. The cheapest I find them is like $10 sometimes when the 2 pack is on sale, but cobalts save me a bit. When you’re changing a bunch of guitar strings, you really feel it, and bass,,, horrible 🥵🥵🥵
@Dougwarren699 ай бұрын
@@Itsjorgelanzas are the paradigms anything like those elixir strings?? Like coated? I'm just curious, I will probably end up just going back to the slinkies, because the cobalts are about 13.50 a pack here in Canada.
@Itsjorgelanzas9 ай бұрын
The paradigm is like the slinky but more durable, but it doesn’t feel coated. They’re great but way too expensive

I was about to comment a few points why Amplitube is better but then at the end you said you've got another video talking why Amplitube is better.. So I'll hold my opinions for now.. But i just wanna say that I feel Neural DSP is overpriced and also is only appealing to a very small niche of the guitar community.. it doesn't appeal too much to guitarists like me who are more into Hendrix & Clapton & Page & other older guitarists
@Itsjorgelanzas9 ай бұрын
I agree with you my friend, I’m an Amplitube used myself, I really love the flexibility of having amps I know with a whole “studio” setup to manipulate my tone. I just had to do this, because these guys are really killing it. I recomend you try the tone king and the Morgan collection, really nice clear sounding amps, but, like you said, not cost effective really, 🤣 another of my winning points in the other video! 🙌🏻 cheers my friend! Thank you for taking the time watch to whole video and really see my point of view deeper Than the thumbnail and slightly clickbait title 🤣🤣 have a great weekend!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

@@Itsjorgelanzas Ya another down point for NDSP is that they don't have any free version like how Amplitube has CS.. i used the CS version for several months, loved it, then got a Fender pack, still loved it, so when i big sale happened i decided to go all in.. NDSP doesn't even try to hook me in.. i don't think I've even heard they're going on sale..
@Itsjorgelanzas9 ай бұрын
You’re right. It is expensive and there’s not gateway d^^^} to it, and they do go on sale, but still, no competition with the $99 Max sale that happens on Black Friday with Amplitube.
