Neural DSP: Nameless - Best Metal Plugin Ever?

I use it for my music and it sounds amazing! It’s really good for super heavy and brutal stuff, although I wouldn’t say it’s the most versatile for stuff that isn’t metal.

Definitely my favorite for really heavy extended range stuff. From Neural, Gojira's more versatile (Petrucci even moreso as an all-in-one plugin) but nothing really comes close to Nameless for those heavy 7/8 string tones.

Nameless is my go-to amp sim for any hard hitting guitar part. I'm far from a tone master so it really helps that this vst delivers insane tones right out of the box.

@@DennisMartenssonOfficial Yeah definitely try it, I've been trying GGD's Zilla cabs and got pretty cool results but now I'm exploring the Jens Bogren downtuned IRs and it sounds very promising !

I'm a big fan of the Gojira suite, Fortin Nameless sounds great but I prefer it in the comparisons. STL Tones do an amazing set of plugins but I'd say Neural have something that gives it a bit more edge.

Listening to the two side by side you can really here the difference, although I feel like the two could work really well in tandem!

I think the Nameless is great for Djent type tones, verging into heavier territory, but recently I've fell back in love with the Fortin NTS. I seem to be able to get tones I like more from it, they seem fuller.

I still haven’t tried the Nameless, I love the Archetype Nolly and Fortin Cali. But my biggest gripe is the pedal section for the fortin style amps. (Which I know you said you like and would like to use with the Archetype Gojira) I have both the Zulu and Grind pedals and they feel completely different than the digital version in my opinion(specifically the Zulu doesn’t cut off fast or hard enough, pedal is more aggressive which I like, and the grind is just too messy as far as higher frequencies go, the pedal is more fuller and love it on every amp I’ve put I through). At least in context for how I use them and what I want out of them. In my opinion the gate knob in the plugins work the best for me better than the Zuul (plug in) Reguardless, I really liked the video. Definitely will reassess some of them and maybe try them out.

@@DennisMartenssonOfficial whaaaaaaaa.. yeah the real pedals are really cool. You’ve inspired me to consider doing some kinda of comparison video if I find the time to do it right. Just because I believe I hear a difference and would like to investigate it further

Great video! IMHO Nameless primarily does one thing but it does that extremely well. It's great for 7/8 strings, but I feel it's not too suitable for anything higher than that. What REAPER skin after you using?

I think the 2 sounds actually complement each other the first sound is a little cut off on the top end like a rhythm guitar and the second sound nameless is brighter like a lead guitar if you made a recording and you panned one sound a little to the left and the other a slightly to the right it it would sound like two different guitarist
