So nice to hear sort of the “old Architects” tuning again. Most of their other new stuff atleast with Josh seemed to be Drop B which just never felt right to me.
@skypiercer13Ай бұрын
Drop B is kinda the OG Tuning though (at least after Sam entered). Plus this song is even deeper then the usual F# Architects Tuning.

Interesting combination for the blended amps, but it sounds so good. I did a tone recreation video for Seeing Red and uploaded the tone to the cloud, but i just ended up using the 5150 III for it. Going to play around with this one too, because I'm shocked they didnt just use the 5150, every time I've tried the Diezel Herbert by itself, I've found it hard to tame, combined with the Peavey 6505 seems to make it sound nice though.

@@mitchellburns2999 Ali did this for years, we only recently changed to playing in unison with the guitars and the result is a much tighter sound overall. F#0/F0 ended up being too much low end with no definition, and lots of pick noise.

@@MaxTaylorGrant Totally understandable - It seems to be the the cut-off point for double drop bass . I asked the guys in ERRA - they concur it sounds too muddy once getting into F,E,D# ect. The guitars are in Drop F but the strange Drop F that architects use (Drop B tuning but the 6th string it's tuned to F) The bass it's Drop B, as you can see during the breakdown Ali is playing the 6th fret on the 4th string that means that the note he's playing on a string tuned on B, would be F. But Adam it's playing on a "open note" (0 fret) cause his guitar it's Drop F. And besides that's the bass that Ali uses it's tuned in Drop B you can see him using it in others songs tuned in Drop B like Impermanence or Animals. (I'm not entirely sure, especially cause Ali is playing the 3th string open on the intro and if it's Drop B that note is F#, that makes me think the tuning can be A# too, I am open to any correction, I am just trying to find the right tuning like many others)
@AyeFrknSn4pperАй бұрын
@@edson_etianI completely forgot this song is in F and not F#, yeah it’s definitely Drop A# or something of the sort
@edson_etianАй бұрын
@@AyeFrknSn4pper Thanks, actually I saw better and Ali it's Playing the 7th Fret on the breakdown so definitely it's Drop A#! Maybe Ali is using a Pitch Shifter on this one idk.

How does he play 6 strings guitar on drop F without pitch shifter or octaver?
@carterguitarrr8090Ай бұрын
The guitar is tuned to C Standard, with the low C string tuned down to F (6th and 5th string become an octave apart). They use baritone guitars and a much thicker gauge for the lowest string.

Love it when bands don't just copy/paste the guitar tuning to bass. This makes for more creative basslines. Even tho it's probably more out of necessity, because a low F on bass gets impractical.

Love the simplicity of live direct rigs, I gig like that myself, but I miss the intrigue of watching a rig rundown and seeing what amps/cabs/speakers/pedals/etc an artist would use and the reasoning for why. I find it a bit boring that every rig rundown for every artist is some sort of digital direct unit, ampless stage. It might be more interesting to do deep dives on what they have on their presets, what amps/IRs/speaker/mic/EQs they're using and why.

@@johnnysully2689 There were multiple liked and retweeted tweets in his post history found after the initial uproar. And a band that proclaims themselves as a safe space for minorities should not just proceed like nothing has really happened. Sam addressed the whole thing during one little speech at one single show without any official statement. And Adam's "Oopsie doopsy apology" was a complete joke and weak excuse. I don't give a shit what you think but to me and many others it feels like they didn't want to put their rise to fame in danger and tried hard to suppress any bad publicity.
