Why can't any of these study results list an actual % increase, instead of always just saying "it showed improved" results. There's a huge difference between a 0.5% result and a 50% increase result, both are "improved results" but one makes me take this supplement study seriously the other doesn't not.

When they say "improved results," they usually mean significant. If it's not statistically significant it's not "improved results."

Thank you for this insightful comment! You’re absolutely right-there’s a big difference between small and substantial improvements, even if both are described as 'improved' or statistically significant. Most studies do quantify the effects and report absolute differences compared to placebo, including many of the studies I’ve covered in this video. The results of these studies on Bacopa generally show modest improvements at best, even when statistically significant. To keep the video concise and easy to follow, I chose not to include specific effect sizes, but I appreciate your feedback and will consider incorporating more details like this in future videos!

They're are other videos that show test results percentage wise. Can also look up on medical govt websites and read studys. Pretty impressive.

Those who want to improve their depressive state don't care what percentage it is as long as it has a possibility to feel better. If I try it and it shows some improvement, then its better than nothing.

Thank you Anna for covering bacopa. I started taking it a couple years ago after seeing that the general data show more than for a lot of other herbal supplements that it's safe and really probably is overall good for the brain at least to some degree. I was just attracted to it because of the general antioxidant and increased cerebral blood flow effects, but in my individual experience I've really been surprised by how unexpectedly effective at helping with my depression and anxiety I've noticed it to be. My ability to focus and mentally function is a lot less impaired by my conditions than how it was for me before starting bacopa. And even if it's just placebo, the effect is noticeable enough that I'm definitely taking it either way. Other herbal supplements I have used before have not had an effect on me like this one has.
