To anyone who is scared and lost - please know this DOES get better. I had a video consultation with Emma and she was incredibly helpful. I've been practicing neuroplasticity for about two months now and my symptoms have reduced by 90%. This is absolutely real. I was having panic attacks at restaurants and bookstores. This is powerful and the dizziness and anxiety are so linked and reinforces. I recently started vestibular therapy which trigger the sensation and not only is it training my brain to desensitized it to the sensation but also the emotion around it. You really need to treat both.

Great comment and yes you are absolutely right! Anxiety and stress and our other emotional reactions needs to be addressed and healed too. It's not just a dizziness issue for so many people it runs much deeper than that! Retraining the brain will help to desensitise to the dizziness and learning how to heal the nervous system is another crucial part too I believe

I love your content, it's giving me hope! My biggest struggle is fatigue in the days after prolonged activity and busy environments, having long conversations... I can't do it for too long. Is that normal for pppd symptoms? Post exertion fatigue is more hindering to me than dizzyness. I have had vestibulair neuritis. Thanks again ❤

Im going to save this and play it with my eyes closed every morning as form of mediation. Then I'll practice opening my eyes and focusing on something believing/affirming that the object im looking is steady... When i lose any feeling of confidence in steadiness I'll close my eyes and repeat. Wish me luck! A year of dealing with pppd, I need to try something more than wondering what exactly caused this and is it something else (diet, infection, tumor, ulcer, disease...) that is causing the symptoms that could be fixed rapidly with the right diagnosis.

I suffered from severe panic attack a month ago and I still have this boat swaying dizziness 24/7 and it's just causing my anxiety and depression worse... I will be so happy when I can have a normal life again...

Hi Jeanne, glad you found it useful. Yes I did (and still do), they are a very important aspect to healing! You need to choose exercises that feel good to you while you do them. That make you slightly dizzy but not overwhelming. Also habituation exercises where you expose yourself to certain environments that can make your symptoms worse like shopping centre, restaurants, places with bright lights etc but again only gentle exposure. Any exercise that makes you feel worse after doing so is likely too much. You need to feel calm, steady and in control 😊

thank you so much for this video🙂This really helps! and I am sure I am going to start implementing this in my daily routine. I have been having this PPPD symptoms for the past 1 year and recently I came across this "neuroplasticity healing". Please if you can help me answer this - does anxiety(GAD) cause the PPPD or PPPD makes some one more anxious? I had low B12 levels last year my dizzy symptoms started- now my B1 levels are up to normal levels but dizzy feeling has turned into being persistent which is then I started to learn about PPPD. I am not sure if the cause is low B12 levels that I had or the anxiety that aggravated the dizzy feeling? I know this video talks about not thinking about the root cause for this feeling but I am just curious! thanks

I think the root cause starts in the mind and patterns of stress. Your body is trying to protect you because of your old fear, anxiety, sadness, past trauma, behaviors. Once your brain decides you've crossed its stress limits, it will do all sorts of things. This is why taking your time , self-soothing, treating yourself well is key. You just have to retrain the way you perceive life and choose the new emotions and feelings. but it takes time and consistency, every day, then your brain will begin to understand the new patterns and build the neural pathways that will override the diZziness. The reason why I chose to write this comment it's because I'm also like that, I wanted to know the root cause . The root cause for me personally was years of fear, avoidance, not letting go of the past, not choosing what I wanted, working way too hard and not deriving joy. I also tried B12 ... but listen, a normal B12 supplement doesn't cause PPPD. The root cause is always a complex pattern of feeling, thinking, and behaving. It's not a piece of food or a supplement that did it. When I first got this, I had had chocolate the night before. I still have never eaten chocolate again, but I know it was not the chocolate, it was not the Vitamins. PPPD is a condition from "inside the house," and all of you is involved -- emotions, thought patterns, behaviors, habits , fears, choices. PPPD is a learned response to great, persistent stress.

Hello and thanks for the video! Does neuroplasticity just happen on its own or does it have to be induced by other practices like visualisation and so on? I just dont know how i can visualise me not being lightheaded, like if its a sensation in my head then how can i visualise that i dont have it if u know what I mean..

Neuroplasticity is happening 24/7. Our brains are consistently receiving information through our 5 senses from our surroundings all the time. How we interpret this information is what creates our memories and helps shape our future experiences. It helps to also focus on applied Neuroplasticity, so creating the feelings that you want to experience in the present moment, and repeating this often enough so the brain learns, adapts, changes and remembers. I get what you mean with the visualisations, because I also tried visualising scenarios and was dizzy in the scenarios in my head too! Try to focus on creating the feelings that you want to experience instead. How do you want to FEEL, as opposed to what do you want to see. Keep practicing the feeling and soon enough those experiences will come to you. It takes practice but is possible ✨ 🙏🏼

@@balanceyourlifenow1651 i was gonna ask how to create more desired feelings in the present moment but I watched one of your other videos and I understand it now!! This gives me a lot of guidance! Now i know it’ a mix of feeling dizziness to be able to neutralize how i feel about it and to not worry too much thus creating a more positive mindset about it.And then to create less dizzy moments by maybe relaxing and doing things that give relief from dizziness and repeat them so my brain learns them and start to follow that neural pathway more and more! Did I get it right?? 😅

Hi, I've had PPPD for 18 months which was triggered after a severe vertigo after my vaccine, my work is a big trigger for me, (which has been a huge struggle so much so that I felt I would have to quit, but I cant afford too 😢) so as this is my trigger, how will I get past this? I look at a screen all day. Its hard. X

I found tinted glasses and turning the brightness right down on my screen helped. Also taking regular breaks from the screen and maybe working from home if this makes you less anxious and able to manage your symptoms better. Vestibular exercises to help with the eye movements involved in using a computer could also help

My advice would be that deep in the root of all of this is the need for your body to feel safe. If you can feel truly safe regardless of symptoms present or not I believe you can heal. I think that gentle exposure and habituation exercises are essential for recovery too along with a positive mindset as this helps you to make good choices and keep your spirits up

Most people with PPPD are dizzy 24/7. I definitely was! So yes, still go to the store but go when you feel well, not if you're having a really bad dizzy day. Also keep visits short for example 5 min trips and then build up from there. Watch my video on overcoming avoidance behaviours as I share lots of tips there to do with stores/ shopping centres

Are certain type of sensitive people just susceptible to dizziness and vestibular issues or could this dizziness just be old age as i have read that many people get dizziness when they get older and maybe this is how its going to be now for the rest of my life and that this will now keep coming back when my anxiety is bad? :(

it seems like people with anxiety disorders could be more likely to have PPPD but anxiety has not been proven to cause it. I would say its more the reaction to the dizziness, the anxiety surrounding the feeling of dizziness and the perception of what we are experiencing. But not always to be honest. I had no anxiety and still developed PPPD, mainly because I was so terrified of the feeling of losing control and not knowing what was going on. Balance issues are common as we age but I would actually say that PPPD is different and it can affect anyone at any age

@@balanceyourlifenow1651 Its just that I seem to get this when my anxiety is really bad or im having high stress. I first got this in high school and had to take 6 months off school due to anxiety and bullying. Then after 40 years I got this in 2019 when I was more stressed than usual but the hospital told me it was anxiety and it went away pretty much completely after about a month, and then again about 5 months ago due to family trauma and my car broke down and its still here. Some of it has settled down but when I get stressed or anxious it hits hard. The tinnitus has gotten worse too but I think I may have a blocked eustachian tube as when I yawn it crackles and when I blow my nose i get dizzy and my ear pops. Weird thing too is that I dont have it when I am not thinking about it or driving. I also get dizzy when I lay down now which makes it so hard to go to the dentist or have a facial. I guess that BPV. Never had that my whole life and now I do. All this came about due to extreme anxiety.

@@AL-ru3nk I would say it was more the stress that caused it and the anxiety has made it worse, based on the people I speak to and coach, it seems stressful events/trauma can bring this on. The firing in the brain for dizziness and anxiety is also very close and similar hence why one can very easily trigger the other. At least you recognise what triggers it for you, so you need to work on managing not only your stress levels but also your response and perception of the stress. It could be worth seeing a therapist that can help you deal with with unresolved trauma from when you were younger. Our bodies can hold onto a lot of trapped emotions and it sounds like you need some time to heal from this. The good thing for you is the dizziness fully goes away once you have overcome the particular stress, so that is something to be positive about, as the management of the dizziness can be within your control. Feeling dizzy sometimes is ok, you don't need to react with such panic, trust that the dizziness will pass as it always has done in the past. And look after yourself while you move through the process ❤

@@balanceyourlifenow1651 thank you for your kind words. I am hoping once i get my car back I will feel a bit better. Its very stressful not being able to leave the house. I have so much stress at the moment and living next to my attackers doesnt help. I need to talk to someone as I have no support from anyone. I am trying to deal with all of this on my own. Will the tinnitus and balance issue settle too or do you think I may be going deaf like my dr says. I am worried cause its only in one ear which means there may be permanent damage?

@@AL-ru3nk i couldn't possibly tell you if your Doctors are right or not as I don't know you and I'm not a Doctor myself. But depending on the doctor you saw they may not know alot about PPPD and could possibly not be giving you the correct or enough information, but it's impossible for me to say if that's the case or not. It sounds like you know what part of your life you need to move from, and this will allow you to heal. I do think you would benefit from speaking to a professional that can help you move through the stresses in your life and then I think you'll find the result of that will be less dizziness. An MRI scan would be able to tell you if you have any permanent damage to your ears. But it is still possible to improve regardless of whether there is permanent damage or not as the brain can build new neural pathways and find a new route. It is more often than not the fear, anxiety, worries that can keep you in the dizziness loop, as opposed to it being a physical problem. Remember PPPD is when all your tests come back clear so you have a healthy brain and healthy neural pathways

Does anything you are talking about actually does anything? What if you didnt have anything severe that went away on it's own. I have no triggers. I am just dizzy. Pills doesnt work. Vestibular therapy doesnt work. Meditation doesnt work. No positive thinking or manifesting doesnt work. You might say that im just negative and bitter. Yes because nothing fucking has worked! And now my whole life is consumed by bad health. It's not only dizziness im dealing with.

Hi there can be a lot of causes of persistent dizziness some from cervical spine even when x ray dont showed anything. Do you have some alternative doctors in your area in form of Bioresonance therapy. Can be helpful in telling whats wrong.

@@raitiskigelis2363 well it can help you in telling what is wrong.It can show if something is physically wrong with you.I think you should at least try it but unfortunatelly it is expensive. But it can be very helpful to point you to the right direction :-)

There doesn't always have to be a really obvious trigger, I was dizzy 24/7 with little to no relief too. You can still heal and recover though ❤
