How do you deal with overwhelming stress and anxiety?
@infinitelydivine94853 жыл бұрын
When I feel that way I go and do something physical with my body. That usually consists of doing some sort of physical body work out or a vocal workout where I'll sing or hum or scat to soothe myself. Or sometimes if its a paralyzing moment and I feel like I can't function I write until I feel good enough to use my voice and body. Stress can be crippling sometimes but it also can be a very beautiful when it teaches you more about what you like and don't like as well as what works for you at certain moments.

Do some gardening, self hypnosis, deep breathing, laughter, stretching, reading… I also play a hide-and-seek game with my mini Dachshund-hilarious when it can’t find its hidden treat. I put Patches in the bathroom first, no cheating. Sometimes I put the fan in front, lol😉 I then sing my song: 🎤 Nana-nana nana-nana I got you! I got you! I repeat it until it succeeds🤣😂 Patches loved it, it’s tail wiggles and keeps searching.

Instead of trying to avoid the situation, the conversation, etc. Stay open to understanding what you're actually feeling and address it. Sometimes it's hard but know you don't have to do it alone. You can always ask for help. I agree 💯to this “Trying to suppress certain information actually brings it more saliently in your mind.”

Thanks for insights. It’s so important to understand actually what we’re feeling
@amarbyrd25202 жыл бұрын
"You can always ask for help" That's as true as "Asking for help doesn't mean you'll actually RECEIVE it" is. Not enough attention, I'd submit, is paid to the fact that there are some people who ask and ask and ask and ask and ask and ASK but, because people -- even professionals who ought to know better -- refuse to acknowledge their biases, there are people who are already marginalized who DO NOT get the help that more privileged people get and are refused EVEN THOUGH they ask and have been asking, sometimes for years. Again, not enough attention is paid to how big a problem this is, just like it seems to have taken at least 20+ years for mainstream "mental health" to catch up with the fact that Western culture is overwhelmingly narcissistic and enabling of narcissists, and so we have a ton of people who've been victimized by narcissistic abuse who are being told *even by well-meaning professionals* that that is at least half their fault ... which does nothing but enable destructive, culturally-lauded narcissists even further. All you have to do is look around at what's going on in society to observe what the result of all that denial and avoidance and evasion and refusal to confront that Horatio Alger mythology is indeed mythology is. Just today we have self-absorbed billionaires trying to truncate free speech and distribute Russian-style propaganda in its place -- and that's just *today's* example.

Amishi basically explained Vipassana mindfulness meditation I’ve been practicing for decades, I can bet anything on it 100%. It’s about training the mind to focus on ur breath and bodily sensations, observing the sensations that arise in the body and what kind of thoughts are linked to those sensations, noticing when the mind wanders and bring it back gently develops self awareness, not reacting to those bodily sensations and thoughts in the mind develops equanimity. That’s my favorite sport!😁 LISA, if I were you, I would start observing ur breath, the air going in and coming out of nostrils, notice the temperature of the air, the sensations you’re feeling inside and all around ur nose and upper lip. This practice is called Anapana, mindfulness of breathing, the awareness of natural breath coming in and going out. You’ll feel calm, focused and relaxed, you’re gonna love it! 💗 After 10 minutes, move ur attention into ur body and start scanning ur body from head to toes and then from toes to head, first at skin level then go deeper into organs, spine and brain, by noticing any kind of sensations you may have in ur body parts without judgment. JUST OBSERVE! By doing that you’re training the mind to stay in the sweet present moment. The mind will wander for sure, ur job is to bring back ur attention to ur breath or bodily sensations without frustration or judgement. The mind may get tired at first because you’re training a wild stallion and at the end of meditation you may realize that ur mind got lost into past events or future things to do, or even a whole conversation you may had with someone in your mind, believe me the human mind will prefer anything to do but to not stay in the present moment. You’ll start to feel fluxes of energies in ur body and when you’ll feel that expand ur energy and ur awareness all around ur body, out into the Universe. Sense the energy inside and all around you and expand it in waves. You’ll may experience tranquility and stillness and the side effect is utter bliss. 🌟 At the end of meditation, practice Metta loving kindness meditation exactly how Amishi taught you, by wishing well-being and sending love to yourself and all other beings. You’re training ur mind to become an observer to ur thoughts in ur mind and sensations in ur body and nothing will escape ur awareness. You’re gonna learn to know yourself better because the mind becomes curious to see what’s inside and why, to eradicate anxiety and overthinking, to self regulate ur emotions and heal ur gut. I believe in you, I know you can do it, you’ve got this girl! 🥰 You’re gonna thank me later when we’ll meet in person one day! 💞🌈🙏

This is so beautifully written. I have had a few fleeting glimpses of this feeling during my meditations, and I just feel so light and unburdened at that one moment when I keep my mind in the present moment.
@savelinafilemoni86563 жыл бұрын
That's really great! It's nice that mention that the mind will wonder. But how do you even start? Do you sit in a dark room... like whats the set up, is there somewhere you focus your eyes on?
@corinabalaceanu67743 жыл бұрын
@@savelinafilemoni8656 Savelina, sit in a comfortable position cross legged on the floor or in a chair, in the morning or evening, whatever works best for you, the position and time of day don’t matter, when you have quiet time. Then close ur eyes and put ur attention on ur breath. Focus on the air going in and out ur nostrils and start noticing if the air is cool or warm, how ur breath is, deep or shallow, the sensations inside ur nose, what kind of sensations around ur nose, the area between the nose and upper lip, all without controlling ur breath. When ur mind wanders, bring ur attention back to ur breath in the present moment without frustration or judgement. Just Observe! And when you master the breath focus, then you move into the body by putting ur attention from the top of ur head to the tips of ur toes, scanning ur body with ur attention and sharpening ur focus by going deeper inside ur body. Get curios to feel yourself inside and notice the nature of ur sensations and feel the energy by scanning ur body up and down, within and all around you. Observe the feelings that may arise in the body and the sensations linked to them. The thoughts that come in ur mind and the sensations and feelings linked to those kind of thoughts. Go step by step and expand ur awareness from breath to sensations to feelings to thoughts and then integrate them to know yourself. That’s how you develop self awareness and learn to sense the energy inside yourself, all around you and in other people too. The more you practice, the deeper ur focus and concentration become and develop clarity, master ur self awareness and equanimity which is keeping ur mind in balance and harmony. The mind is a computer we can reprogram using our super consciousness. Ur job is to sharpen ur focus like a laser and then expand ur consciousness. Be patient and consistent and you’ll see results fast!

Another awesome talk😊thank you! There is one little thing I would like to mention. Putting attention on physical sensations can be helpful, but also can be counterproductive for some people if not done correctly. Specifically people with regular panic attacks have a tendency to already focus on and put too much emphasis on minor physical signals (like an elevated heartbeat) which can actually fuel the anxiety. So depending on your own disposition, use this tip with care🌸

I love this video! It's the second time I watched it. When I write my dark psychological fantasies, I'm focusing the flood lights on my pain points, as I still struggle with memory gaps from my life. My mental health issues are hard to handle on my own, but Kala Skaggs has become my alter ego, something I intuitively needed to start writing since I've bottled up my pain until I had to talk about it. Drove most of my loved ones away for a time. Now, I'm loving myself more each day, have a healthy relationship with my husband, trust my intuition more, and can focus on the truly positive moments, not the delusional positivity I had when I repressed depersonalized memories. I'm planning videos that I want to share about how to heal from PTSD when struggling to feel real. For now, I'm writing my second novel, which I hope to self-publish by the end of the year. I released the first book in the series last year! Attention is crucial in my life. Without attention, I wouldn't have noticed the moment I felt reciprocated love with my husband, which changed the course of my self-love journey from self-loathing. Super grateful for more peace in my life!

Hello guys my name is likhit I had anxiety most of the time since my childhood first it started with a heart pain I felt so fearful and my heart was painting and then one day my mom said it's all ur thinking and then I tried not to think about it and it has disappeared and after that I was playing a computer game and I had a fear of things that won't stop which means I had fear of my heart beat and fear of infinite and in game infinite money etc. I coped myself telling that it doesn't exist everything has a stop and left it. Then after some years I think 6 or 7 years I had breathing anxiety which continued for 2 or 3 months and after that I accepted it was a thought and it has gone away and after that it came back again and it stayed for 1 month and gone away after that for 2 years I was fine but after that I had an anxiety that if I will think negative and do a thing then it will become real I mean I was working in a store as a typist I thought if I will type some word with negative thinking that my mom and dad will die then it would become real so I cut the word and type it correctly without negative thinking this anxiety continued for 7 months after that covid 19 was started and then i had done lots of exercises and after that I had a mild headache due to excessive exercising which was little but once the lockdown started I didn't meet my friends and everyone then my headache got worse and it stayed 24/7 with me after struggling one month with this anxiety I and my family members shifted to vizag then also my headache was there and one day I was thinking something that wt if another anxiety hit me and I will be free from this headache anxiety suddenly a thought came wt if poop anxiety came and then the poop anxiety literally came it was like I will go to poop and then In my mind I will think that some one are watching me and they are laughing and I can't poop and i just can't remove the thought I had irregular bowel movements with this it continued till 9 or 10 months and I suddenly got relief and I was doing great for 1 month and then suddenly one night a fight happened between my mom and me that night I slept well but woke up with a fever and I was not able to eat anything so after 1 or 2 days the fever was gone but the feeling of vomit hadn't gone it continued I had strange feelings like I was in a spinning wheel or having wt if the universe is infinite it scared me and why my heart beats 24/7 it also scared me then I had earbugs means music stuck in my mind and some scary things stuck in my mind I have struggled with this for 1 or 2 months and after that it was gone and I became stronger now I dont have fear of moving things and heart beat and no earbugs no vomit feeling one day I had a strange feeling that why silence is there why sound is there I thought if I can't stay in silent can I stay in sound the answer was no I struggled with it for 5 or 6 days and it was gone upto 3 days before everything was fine I had coped with all my anxieties and I was doing great but suddenly my colleges were declared holidays and now I'm.having a feeling that what is happiness and what is pain or torture and my mind is telling to stay in torture or stay in fear don't stay in happiness I'm not able to decide what to do I'm struggling please someone understand me and save me even saying save is opposing me my mind is kinda don't be saved be in pain and torture I'm writing this very clearly please someone help me please I'm so confused
