I use a similar technique when painting miniatures, since the acrylic paints can get pretty expensive and to preserve mixes of colors that are hard to reproduce. Another technique from minipainting (I don't know how applicable it is to large amounts of paint, like you have) is that the "palette" is a piece of baking paper that is on top of a moist spongey layer (either just moist paper towels, or premade thin sponge layers). Just make sure to switch the paper towels every once in a while or it will get moldy :)

Hear me out, what if you just submerged them in water? That's wet and air tight right?Idk if it'd mess with the composition of the paint but probably worth a shot, I'll let you know how it goes!

Considering acrylic paint is water soluble, if you leave the paint on your pallet, totally submerged in water, it’s probably just going to dissolve and get all runny and be a complete unusable mess after
