Having read a number of the comments, I'm glad I wasn't the only crybaby. I can't be eloquent enough here to express how deeply touching I found this film. _Extremely_ sad but so very poignant. To every aspect: the story, casting, acting, music, cinematography, direction -- I say _bravo_ .👏 Thank you for this beautiful little gem. 💎 🙏

i found your channel and this film entirely by accident, as i was intending to check the 'dust' and omeleto' short film chennels for any new films-which are added one-or two per week. mainstream tv shows and films are lifeless boring things to me. i always love sci fi featuring friendship of human with robot-my favourite having been ' a crimson man', about a servant boy fleeing an island with a giant red robot. that in your film, you can have a silent human-robot connection based on the loyalty and protection the small robot offers to human protagonist, and in turn an acceptance of the robots constant vigil by his side is remarkable. it shows human being's need for connection has the most minimum of requirements. the cinematography here has produced a very 'soft' image which i associate with real cellular film, and this slight blurring works really well for sci-fi when rendering stuff like a giant robot. some of the forest cinematography was gorgeous. it makes it look very realistic, i think partly because our brains imagine the past in a blurry black and white-and largely silent still or really sped up images, thanks in part to all those black and white silent films and imagine the future as blurry and eery, because we don't remember the future, both the past and future lightcones to use theoretical physics einsteinian terms, are a foreign country-ill defined to us. there's lots of cinematography in this film with very out of focus background, which i love. i really think robots could fill in a big gap in human need for company and conversation. though i'm surprised at the total lack of progress in that direction. instead of focussing on making humanoid robots to look identical to us, robots can look like robots, and focus on making robots that after initial basic programming and then continue to learn and improve their skills independently of any programmer, which would mean one robot with a different environment and different interactions with humans than another robot elsewhere would each have different life experience and thus behave differently, a robot equivalent to a personality. having solely actors with down syndrome is wonderful choice,. equal opportunities for people with such differences is still rarely bothered with. only racial diversity representation, gender equal pay and most recently- diversity of sexuality representation are fought for and discussed frequently. i remember discussing the lack of down syndrome, heavily autistic people e.c.t. in work. and my friend despite being very liberally progressive just could not see that the problem existed, yet i cited the statistics on how many people of the higher ends of these spectrums were in work, which is one way to judge how involved/jntegrated they are into their local area. ten years later, i dont; see anything having changed, and still isnt discussed. i remember saying, why don't i see a down syndrome receptionist at my hotel greeting me, or a heavily autistic social worker. we make a big deal out of the number of say autistic persons employed by google who thrive because they are often very good at computer programming and less sociable job. , but they are high functioning, what used to be called ''aspergers' end of the spectrum. society still wants to present traditionally and conventually attractive appearance and behaviour in its professions. not say someone with Tourette Syndrome. .could the 'Dust' channel or 'omeleto' short film youtube channels showcase this short film? as it's very much along these lines, well except yours is on the longer side. but personally i love this twenty-thirty minute kind of length. i hope you were able to get it shown at film festivals as well?? though i've no idea how popular film festivals are post covid. i used to be regular at film festivals, since its only real place i got to see independent cinema from loads of different countries, where it is really art, not green screen speciala effects and digital pixelated images. i look for films shot on cellular film. which is how film was always supposed to be. same with still photography. the film festivals have been in the past so important for independent non big studio cinema. the best films i've ever seen were all short independent sci fi films i was introduced to there. since i got sick i have to use dedicated short film youtube channels to see them instead.. and i echoe-this type of atmospheric violin soundtrack worked so well. hans zimmer did that type of purely atmospheric non melodic score for Dune.

I am a huge fan of the Cryo Chamber label and have listened to Keosz’s music for years. I saw his new album for the Neven Soundtrack on Cryo today and so I had to check out this film. Wow, it is so, SO good. It brought up a lot of emotions within me, anger at the reckless raging war robots, sadness at the loss of his family and the suffering, joy at the friendship with Neven (and that he survived the attack) This is a beautiful film. I loved it! Thank you to everyone who produced it. It was fantastic. I’m so sorry for your loss of your father. there’s no words for that loss. I’m so sorry. God bless.

Such a heart rending story. I could feel the isolation of the main character throughout. He must have been on his own all those yrs since he lost his family. But he was a man with a goal and he achieved it. It's amazing that human beings find something worthwhile to strive for in the midst of total tragedy. Acting was so great. I wondered if Peter didn't talk because of his traumatic experience when he lost his family. I guess I would have talked to the robot even if the robot didn't speak. But the lack of dialogue with the adult Peter made the isolation even more profound. Well done to u all. A marvellous production on a zero budget. Congratulations.

The cinematography was so great, and it was so different from so many of the most post-apocalyptic short films I've watched. I really appreciated and loved how you humanized the small robot! Unlike many other movies with electronic characters, this small robot seemingly had emotions and a keen ability to communicate silently. Even more impressive was how the small 4-legged creature evoked an empathetic reaction from me! Absolutely Loved it!

I always look at the juniper bushes I planted in 2009 with my dog - they were sales items at ShopKo - my dog was 7 - he lived to be 14 - and those junipers have become gigantic in the places I planted them - like I mean I could climb under them and hide - the little birds live in them year-round now - and I think about my old dead dog and think we did good - and the I dog I have now will sniff at them but not go under them - and I think about after him and I are gone - if whoever ends up living here will let those junipers continue growing or if they will root them out - in this world we have so much stuff that we know about and yet one day when the last person who ever knew us dies - it will be like we have never been here - except -junipers and also I pick up rocks all the time and throw them - thinking maybe they will be where they land till the end of earth - someone might pass by the place the guy planted that tree in 100 years and camp under it - not knowing nothing except it was a nice place to camp. (Even ShopKo went out of business and is gone - all the neighbors from then gone - I have all the memories of 10 different houses - only the lawn guys who use to mow all the houses around here have deeper memories and they are getting ready to retire. And I am the last guy left from their list around here.) a nice well-acted meaningful connection to soul - thank you. somehow this makes me happy to think about the spirit of giving due credit to the loving memories we earn.

Brilliant story, acting and film making. The closing scene reminds me of similar in Moon and also in Silent Running. Powerful emotional content and better, far far better, than many of the big budget movies today in my opinion since I cared what happened to these two characters. Incredible Film! I would suggest - a dream come true! - it felt honest, real, thought-provoking. *Spellbinding* images, soundscapes and music. The action was top-notch. Hard to believe how you could pull this off without a large budget! I would say it looked more expensive than a large hollywood production: Better acting, better effects, a more "serious" tone than a normal hollywood movie! Overall - better film-making craft! Insane! Nice that we finally get to see a short that is longer than 10-15 minutes. Something magical happens around the 20-25 minutes mark. A short starts to feel more like a real movie. I'm working on a film that long myself for the moment. It will be shot for real but with computer generated effects and visuals on top of that. A philosophical film with a commercial possibility like this one. In this movie you have made I finally can feel something. You did it in a simple way from a conceptual perspective - but the *execution* was classic! Great that you had an "odd" main character and a fitting secondary character in form of the "dog robotic helper" - a helper we don't know if he's really good! Good concept, even better execution, something simple we still can ponder about. And a really satisfying end! Classic short from my perspective - this movie needs many rewards! Incredible short! If you feel like it check out my computer animated short "Alien Forever" about a lone woman confronting an international war scenario in the future and learning odd things on the way. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6GcqICMfM11gac Enjoy!

To be even more humble and honest, I found that in a moment of this movie I spoke aloud and said the words at least along these lines that if nothing else could be more perfect to one such as humble as he. It caused me to pray out loud in gratefulness for kindness, even rejoicing at the affirmation to the fact that if anyone can remain absolutely humble they will be blessed in ways that seems to defy logic and reason. I found that it made me even cry a little bit. Not sure which part but my face was wet. It was almost out of pure instinct. Thank you so much I'm want more of this. I want to even be a part if I can I want to help I I don't know what to say. But this was perfect beautiful. Very moving as it reminds me of a scripture where it tells of a future where a man will desire to hear another man's voice after the destruction has passed. From the book of 2 Esdras 22For many of them that dwell upon earth shall perish of famine; and the other, that escape the hunger, shall the sword destroy. 23And the dead shall be cast out as dung, and there shall be no man to comfort them: for the earth shall be wasted, and the cities shall be cast down. 24There shall be no man left to till the earth, and to sow it 25The trees shall give fruit, and who shall gather them? 26The grapes shall ripen, and who shall tread them? for all places shall be desolate of men: 27So that one man shall desire to see another, and to hear his voice. 28For of a city there shall be ten left, and two of the field, which shall hide themselves in the thick groves, and in the clefts of the rocks.

Es una historia muy bien contada con una actuación llena de sentimiento llevada a cabo por el protagonista. Felicito muy efusivamente a usted. Gracias por la maravillosa creación que ha sido de gran inspiración para mi. Saludos a usted y todo su elenco.

Sure shows that you don't need Hollywood's Big Money or high paid actor/actresses' just simple felling's and direction.
