Can you believe some people say his voice was not as strong? This gives me goosebumps.

As he got older he started to realize the power of his voice.. Even from 1968 to 1973 you could hear the difference in his voice.. He developed it amazingly.

So sad, I think of where he was in his life. He never knew how much he was loved. Breaks my heart. Thanks

@@ChefBarb58 Sorry but Priscilla was the worse thing that happened to him or his daughter. She not only left him for her married Karate instructor but took 4 year old Lisa with her. He did get over her, and was kind to her because seeing his daughter depended on their relationship. Just before he died when he was the sickest she demanding a half a million and took out a lien on Graceland he sold his RCA copywrites to meet her demand. Seven years after he died she wrote her fantasy background in her book, which has been totally discredited by "Child Bride'. a book that exposes her and her Attempts to steal Graceland. When Lisa was only 10 she stuck her in the cult of Scientology which controlled her life till she died at 54. Then Priscilla tried to sue her own granddaughter for Graceland calling in her Scientology buddy John Travolta to mediate for her. He got her a million up front all her 400 grand in legal fees paid, 100 grand a year as a consultant and 1/9 of the Elvis estate for her son by a guy named Marco, You need to read and find out the truth. Read "From Here to the Great Unknown" by Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis knew she was awful but wanted to see his daughter.

Wow! Superb reaction Seph! Thanks again! You'll be surprised how much this wonderful tune = Different than any other Elvis tune you can think of ... stays in your head and your memory! For those who listened to the album when it was first released ('76) and/or still own it now on record or cd, this is only track 2 in the order of 10 incredible songs on (I agree with everyone else) DEFINITELY one of The Elvis BEST albums if not the Best! Looking forward to the other 8 reactions from the 'From Elvis Presley Boulevard Memphis Tennessee' album Seph! Wow again!🥰😀

This entire album became my depression go-to album many years ago. It's not often celebrated and yes it's somewhat overproduced, but it absolutely feeds those sad feelings and leaves a certain level of comfort. It always has for me.

I decided to make this my song a couple of years ago as I have made some bad choices when it comes to relationships and been left heartbroken. So, it's 'Never Again' for me. You stopped at my favourite part of the song and the lines that ring true for me: 'Next time I'll be smart. I'll know before I start. A heart that don't care, don't get broken.'
@paulhuggett75033 ай бұрын
@jackielouise7538 I'm so sorry to hear that about your relationships. I'm in EXACTLY the same boat. Maybe we could meet up?🥰 Great choice for a song that fits both our lives ... and what a lovely, wonderfully heartbreaking and emotional song😀🥰

Fantastic! I agree completely with your estimate - he's in terrific voice, and the way he slides into notes and weaves in strategic vibrato, it's a kind of grand emotionality! Great reaction.

A beautiful, powerful ballad. It does have some very poignant lyrics and Elvis exudes the emotions that make it so gorgeous. His voice just continued to get better. Thanks for the wonderful comments as usual. ❤❤❤

(2:45) "I like that line, actually. A heart that don't care, don't get broken. That's so true, man. Keep everybody at arm's length and you will never get hurt. But you will also miss out on a heavenly glory, ya know?" Do you relate to this, Seph? (4:42) "Oh, I'm gonna bluming be O.D.ing on this man's sugar right now, if that sounds right. It probably don't sound right, but hey, it's my channel. I'll say what I want!" This cracked me up. I know the feeling. 😉 (5:59) "You need connection in this life. You need someone to love, ya know? It's just one of your basic needs. You need something to love, somebody to love." Do you have somebody to love, Seph?

See that background you've got (jungle room) - this is were the 76 recordings were from (boulevard and part of moody blue album - say part as a couple of songs from that album were live in concert). Fun fact, when you do Way Down, right at very end, if you turn volume up, you can hear his dogs barking lol

This album is a Staple in the EP collection. From Hurt , Never Again, Never fall In Love Again and his rendition of Roger Whitaker's Last Farewell. Tom Jones does a great NFILA but can't compare with EP.

Passable and interesting but not on my playlists. Probably 12 better than this and Solitaire for 1976 recordings. Many fans , not necessarily me, think 1960 - 1963 was when his voice was best, more dexterity to cover 50's and 60's sounds, while there is a feeling that drug use may have contributed to his change in voice, a bit like singers in the 1940's etc who used to smoke to make their voices sound huskier, and smouldering.
