Yeah, I find it hard to believe as well because there’s no sound from the deer running and also most the time they make a high pitch noise when they go in for an attack also you was lying down so it’s a bit strange how we didn’t see anything even though it hit your side doesn’t make sense is definitely would’ve came into view of the camera if this was the case and also Deers are afraid of humans and are most likely to run away very rare they attack unless you corner it or close to it young so I call bs on this

I came across this because many other KZbinrs are saying how fake it is. I tend to agree with the comments, no noise whatsoever no noise of it butting him or running off no grunting or heavy breathing and the mike was right next to him. I know he said that kids were throwing stones but it's pitch black so they couldn't even see a stone let alone throw one. If there was a deer looking at him then the very first thing a Youtber would do is film it. Also when a deer charges it doesn't head butt you once and run off they try and have another go because they are not scared of you in the first place. Same with a goat or a ram they just keep going and don't run off and you would have 100% heard it as they are the size of a small horse galloping. So sorry but all the evidence points to it being a fake and he should see that himself. If someone else had done this I guarantee he would be saying it's fake as there is no proof whatsoever. He's now doing a hotel review on another channel which doesn't seem fake but he better lock his door in case an old woman charges and head butts him. My honest opinion is fake and it gives other camping videos a bad name and it's a shame that he had to do this just for views which has worked but for the wrong reason.

JohnLoogle. Sorry but have to comment about your post. If you have watched Dan as you said you have I am sure you realise there is nothing to be gained by him by lying about this incident. You are entitled to your opinion but I really do feel it is misplaced here. Sadly there is no footage to prove he was injured by a deer and I can see why you would be sceptical....If Dan was lying he would put in jeopardy not only his reputation but also his channel and the fact he has 66,000 subs that would be a huge mistake. Why would he even think about putting years of work in developing his channel at risk. I dont know Dan personally but none of this smells like it is the sort of thing he would do...except maybe as an April Fool! As a covet, if you are right it would be curtains for Dans channel and sad day for the wildcamping community.

If a deer is charging at you, would you give a running commentary for a camera or be more concerned with the need to get out of the way? I like you want to believe it's true as I enjoy Dan's channel, and he's put lots of great stuff out there. Unfortunately nothing about this video suggests to me that he was attacked by a deer. He also made a rapid recovery posting a video a few days later with no further mention of the deer attack. Too much doesn't add up. Love your optimism though.

This is everything I have come to hate about KZbin. Pure fake click bait. I've been wild camping for about 20 years now and can say I've never been attacked by a deer one week, had a spooky encounter the next, someone walking about outside my tent the next then a run in with and angry farmer the next. It's pretty embarrassing what lengths some will go to for a few views. This one just takes the piss.

I liked the cheesy jokes! I recently broke my arm because I got my foot stuck in the garbage can...I was pushing down the garbage with my foot...I fell over and "bam" broke my distal radius in 4 pieces. One metal plate and 7 screws later, my kids and friends still tease me. Lol. I just wish I had it in video! Then I could really laugh at myself. I solo too, and it's easy to think that we're pretty safe here in the UK, no bears, wolves, big cats, but this should be a reminder to us all that soloing still has some risks and there are always the two legged ones that ruin it. I think you did the right thing, I thought it was going to be the kids who did it. Speedy recovery. Wish you the best. If this was a genuine attack then i hope you wasn't to badly injured and recovered fast, however i can see why people are doubting it as there was no noise of another person or animal charging towards you no noises from the deer as they do grunt, also afterwards when you show your bag no evidence of marks on or around your bag were you was hit , thought there would be something to show from hooves or antlers scraping or tearing up materials and all you done was rub the area why did you not show a mark or at least look for your own curiosity to see damage, this is just a few things that red flag it for me but as i said if it was genuine then i hope you got treated and are all good.

That’s the one thing here you have to be careful of. The reindeer tend to be ok but the moose, they just trample you if they are upset. I often build up branches around me (yes I’m a bit paranoid!) to keep things away and if they do want to come close the breaking sticks will wake me up. Hope you recover soon and I’m older than you so I must be a sad old, old, old git 🤣🙈 Geez the kids there are just bad-mannered!
