In part Five of ‘The New Christian History of the Church,’ the level of research and production quality has reached new heights. I suppose the algorithyms and audience determine popularity, but this may be the video I am most proud of. By reading histories from various empires I learned insights to the Council of Nicaea and events leading up to it that may not have been told before, at least for many centuries.

Born again Christian! That is what I've been taught is whom we are! Great teaching, taking all the divergent beliefs and addressing a lot of the various schools of thought , making sense of so many different beliefs! It's been my habit when confronted with divergent teaching or even those of opposite systems to put them in the "God will sort this out in His good time" . The result being to defer to Holy Spirit's direction. Bro Nick , with that being said, you come along shedding truth and light upon many areas. Sent by God as the peacemaker, the light bringer! Thank you my friend , God Bless and keep you and your endeavors. I consider my self as a pitted plant in the Kingdom, thereby if there is Living Water and SON Light I will prosper in and for the Kingdom of God! Not being the scholar such as yourself yet desiring to promote truth that comes from divine inspiration. Simple man, carpenter, handyman but Christ Follower being what powers my life. Vafter all He saved me from the very gates of hell where I lived until that day I stepped out in faith to let Jesus be my Lord and Savior! I thank God for God! Look forward to the next insightful teaching!

Constantine didn't go to the council of Nicaea? I thought I remember him showing up with resplendent garb at some point (Eusebius, History of the Church) as I recall. Was that something else?

He was there at the beginning as far as I can read. I wonder if I said something confusing? It’s possible. From time to time speaking free form that happens. He was definitely there during parts of the council.

I don’t like a catholic take either. This is not one actually - Protestants and Catholics agree in unison of the outcomes of the first seven ecumenical councils. It’s really only been the last 50 years that some of the anti Constantine stuff has started - I give you my word I am not trying to promote Catholicism over anything. And I agree it is uncomfortable. The next episodes for example 6 and 7 will break down what they came agreeing to for their “pastors” and how Constantine turned around and started crushing all the orthodox Christian’s again - it’s just a chapter - . Lol. Stick with me Brandy stick with me.
