The crystals you should never cleanse with water. Water is corrosive to certain types of crystals. Sometimes it can eat away at the stone’s surface, other times it just gradually dissolves the crystal each time you submerge it. Water can change the color of some stones, cause rust, or even make cracks appear. And in a few rare cases can combine to cause toxic fumes.

I also don't recomend cleansing amazonite in water. My raw piece became rusty. And hard water is also not good for geodes like amethyst since limescale sets in cracks. After years I started using distilled water :)

i understand amazonite is not great with water, but if i got it wet in the rain for like a minute or two, do you think i may have ruined it or is there a chance that it still might work for me?

I accidentally submerged my pyrite in water as an attempt to cleanse it but didn’t realize I probably shouldn’t haven done that. I did dry it and even blow dried it a little bit just to be sure but now I’m worried I may have ruined it. I did use sage smoke to cleanse it again but is my pyrite probably doomed? Should I be worried?

go put a scraped up nail in water for one minute then dry it off and come back to me when it decides to be "doomed" it is metal bruh. Unless It's anhydrite or an actual non metallic mineral that can be damaged like gypsum you can put it in water however long you want. It's just gonna get rusty like a iron nail.

@@lucariobtuse395 I had no idea. I was doing research and Pyrite was listed as one of those you don’t put in water because of a reaction between oxygen and iron once water was involved. But this is good to know, thank you

Can you put labradorite in an oil? Since the main thing that breaks it down is salt, and there is no salt in the oil I’m using. They are small polished chips of labradorite. I’ve been up doing so much research and I am confused at this point. Some people make labradorite perfume bottles and I’ve seen others put labradorite in there witchy oils. But I don’t want to ever just assume
