NEVER cut sheer or casement fabrics like this!

Cutting sheer and casement fabrics are much different than cutting standard fabrics! Since horizontal and vertical threads in these types of fabrics are 100% straight it is best to pull a thread!

The tip with pulling one thread out works ONLY when (in case of shortening inexpensive ready-made curtains) the top was done the same way (which is doubtful). If you cut the bottom this way without checking the top...then 'good night, Buddy'. Good tip, but only if you make the whole thing by yourself. Otherwise: trying to get a 90° bottom seam with this method on a ready-made panel is like playing the lottery. Most inexperienced DIY-er will take your word that it'll be perfect. Still, a good video.
