Love this build. I been running a Torug's Pact set (6 medium, 1 heavy) with Eternal Vigor on a Necromancer, all stats into health then weapon damage enchant on 2H sword... I haven't solo'd a dragon yet on this build only because I never get a chance to fight one completely by myself. Once they pop out two of the the Bone Lords with the Dragon it get's pretty burly but if you keep circling the dragon & doing damage when you can on the BL's, it is def doable.

@@truthabouttheworld3186 100% man Maelstrom isn't a DPS race it's all about Mechanics. There are very few "DPS checks" in VMA it's more about managing adds and focusing things in correct order. At least from my perspective. 99% of the game is all about Mechanics like 1% is you need hellfire burn to clear this. Don't get me wrong I love hellfire burn I have 3 toons over 90k DPS now but for solo vet arena play where I don't have a tank and healer I'd rather be slower burn and safe under shields while playing the mechanics.

@@TGraham-wz2dk Yeah everything looks and sounds good on paper until you actually get in there with a build. I know the mechanics very well on certain parts of VMaelstrom because I spent hours on them with my Alcast Dragonknight solo build trying to clear it. This build just fails it because it's squishy and has no resistances other than shields. Once those shields are gone she is gone so fast it's not even funny. You switch to the back bar to apply one of the heals and you're right back where you started in a fraction of a second. My solo dragonknight can handle with just one shield, brawler and he does not get melted nearly as instantly as she does. I also disagree on dps, you definitely need to hit some dps marks, my dk could not clear certain parts until I golded my weapon and got all my damage enchants right thus upping my dps considerably. So unless you've actually done it on this build, I'll believe it when I see it. Calling this build "Never Die Again" and "handle arena content with ease" as he says in the written guide is a joke. I have a golded weapon on her too.

@@TGraham-wz2dk Cleared VMaelstrom on my solo sorc and my solo DK, so I'm not incompetent. It's the Nova build that's weak and squishy and struggles with damage, sustain, and with survivability. I've read some very knowledgeable guides on VMa and anyone who tells you that Dps or tankiness/survivability doesn't make a big difference is full of it. With a subpar build you need very high skill and also be a master of mechanics. PS: Didn't I see your name on Ps4, I think that was you.

Just got my Imperial templar tank (pve) up to my cp lvl 600. I’m going try to work some things around to see if he can be viable for group play (dungeons/trials) and a solo build too. I appreciate the videos as always.

I literally run the same sets on my solo nightblade :D But currently using double ice staves, so whenever I feel like doing normal dungeon with party I just slot taunt for one of my DoTs, equip more heavy armors and swap one staff to another with crusher enchantment and jump straight into queue as tank. One thing that I enjoy on NB build over templar is the combination of both ultimates Soul Harvest + Shooting Star just enabling me cast my ultimate every trash pull while soloing.

Torugs Pact, both infused weapons , dmg shield enchant with heartland conqueror set to further boost enchants.. The weapon enchants can get up to like 1400 with both those sets so I imagine the shield enchant would be just as nutty

It actually doesn’t buff infused that much. The 30% buff doubles to 60%, which is not worth it IMO

But I put a healer bar on the second so I can play two roles if I choose to, but it would only be one bar at a time no swapping. Probably not fully economical but oh well.

Hello Gary, I am old and I have wrist and hand problems. I play eso on pc but use an xbox one controller to play. It makes life a lot easier and the two bar set up is easily done. One bar gets pretty boring imo.

Just a question: If you decide to swap out Channeled Acceleration for Dampen Magic like you said for harder content... wouldn't you want to swap out the Ult on the front bar for Temporal Guard? This what you still leverage the "shield while blocking" passive from the Psijic Order tree?

True yes. You can also replace Inner Light with Dampen Magic if running spell power potions or Vampires Bane as these all give the same buff to crit chance.

You could but resto staff passives boost your healing significantly, so I would maximise on that if your back bar is for healing and not DPS

Well... stamplar will soon be able to run healer companion & ring of pale order; will keep higher dps(self cast minor and major breach and higher base damage) with probably even higher healing. Right now magplar is probably the best 'solo anything' class.

@@Hekk. But you will be able to run a tank or dps on that companion as a magplar. The dps isn't a massive difference to begin with so the companion will probably be able to more than make up the difference. Plus if your companion dies you will still be good for surviving. Oh and you can get better DPS on a magplar than on a stamplar running pale order ring.

It makes it just like any other aoe DoT, and it'll only be used to provide synergy as it doesnt offer anything else right now - templar spear will be better than orb regardless.

Change your food to artameum takeaway broth expensive but worth it. As for use the off balance fear and then heavy attack lots more stam return.

Well, you still get 2% technically when wearing 7 of one weight, but yeah 7 light or 7 medium is probably best for damage. 5-1-1 could still be OK for tanking

I made this build and I find it extremely squishy. Sustain is also bad even with a Breton unless you are running Witchmother's Brew. Damage mediocre even with a golden weapon. That world boss that you demonstrated on I can clear with beginner crafted gear on a weak dragonknight solo build, so it's not really a measure of anything other that you can clear crappy overland content. It works well on overland and the weak world bosses but I could not clear veteran Maelstrom with this. Once your shields are gone she'll be dead as soon as a monster breathes on her, so good luck getting your Maelstrom staff. Just like in life nothing is as advertised, is it. "Never die again" yeah if you're fighting scamps by the waterside.
