Have you seen what they are putting on the oil bottles now for synthetic? Shell Rotella t6 synthetic is advertising only needing to change oil every 15 years or 500k miles. Whichever comes first. 😂😂

Or even idling them down in the summer. I run heavy equipment & I’ve seen guys turn off a hot machine 🤦🏻‍♂️

Even though you can go to 12 or 50, I always changed my oil and did service early. Sometimes a little early, sometimes a lot early. It pays off to take care of your money maker. I’m also a believer in using additives. Maybe I do pamper too much, but I have never had a mechanical breakdown or problem. And that’s the truth!

I still believe in the 200 hour oil change interval. No longer. Oil is a heck of a lot cheaper than an in frame.

We change the oil every 10000 km on our 60 series and insert grease all around under at the same moment

Back in the 90’s I was driving a Mack Superliner with the E-9 500 hp V-8 and we (my company) we’re using I think Mobil 1 10w50 full synthetic oil and we would run the oil to 45,000 miles but we changed the oil filters every 15,000 miles. Never had an oil related problem with these big engines

The oil change intervals are different when the engine has wear and tear too it would be less miles before you change it

idle= not for volvo, volvo engines will bump up the oil pressure at low idle after a few minutes
