As a GSW fan i took it on the chin. People say we only beat the Cavs in 2015 because of injuries and i dont support that argument because the Cavs were still up 2-1 going home. GSW only had 2 all stars in general and the Cavs had 4 with Kyrie, Love, LBJ , and Kyle Korver. Yes Kyle Korver was a all star that year. The 2019 Raptors deserved that chip. They earned it. They had a great playoff run and they were the DarkHorse of the league that year. The Raptors played as a complete unit and didn’t solely rely on their best player like the rest of the east was at that time. The Raptors are a tough team because they are still making the playoffs without Kawhi. I respect that they stayed competitive after Kawhis departure.

Great video bro, you're the one of the very few channels that I've seen that truly understands the greatness of this team. You pretty much highlighted all the reasons on why they were so successful that year that the mass media never covered. Although, if KD was healthy I believe it would've been a lot closer than people claim. They matched up with them really well. This team and Kawhi complimented eachother perfectly, and they all came together at the right time. Masai was an absolute genius in putting the personnel together and Nurse was as well for his innovative coaching. This was a team years in the making (Masai took over in 2013/14) and not a super team bought with money. They really reminded me of those early 2010's Spurs teams. Real shame that Kawhi chose to bounce, they easily could've gone back to back and potentially three peat (would've been really interesting to see 2021 Giannis face off with him)

As a Bucks fan, 2019 had me so pissed. We had finally made it back to the ECF for the first time since 2001, and packed up the Celtics on the way there. We go up 2-0, and then it was all downhill from there. Our starting PG Bledsoe is a career playoff choker, no one else could make a shot, some nights one of our top scorers was Illyasova, Fred had a kid and decided to not miss, and with the rest of the Bucks shitting the bed, the Raptors were just able to take out Giannis. It spawned a bunch of Giannis slander which only got worse after 2020, and damn near ended our championship window before it had even opened. We were 2 games away from the Finals, had a few things gone differently the Bucks could’ve been to 4 finals in a row by now.

Considering how used I am to sports failure as a Toronto sports fan, the championship win was one of the greatest things thats ever happened to me, finally outsiders of the city could acknowledge this city’s sports for something other than the Leafs constant failures and their arrogant fanbase, but rather the likeable diverse fanbase of the new NBA champs. If only the media could treat the team with the same respect, those jerks.

They still lost 3-1 with him tho and barely made it thru game 5. It’s tough to say what would’ve truly happened but for ppl to discredit the Raps bc Klay went down is bs. He was healthy the first few games which they also lost.

Would have been an easier chip than 2019 that's for sure and Clippers still would have given everything to get him after the bubble and PG13 would still be in OKC available for the same trade. He cashed in his chips too soon. Man really put playing near his home for 1 year earlier than solidify his legacy. Now hes a joke every time you hear "load management"

I'll never fault Kawhi for wanting to go home, but considering how good the Raptors still were the next year and how close they came to another conference final it does bug me that we didn't get to see them with their full potential. At the end of the day, he gave us something special and he's where he wants to be. Everybody wins. But it's such a "what if" that I can't help but get a little bummed out about it
