I’ll never forget the look on Kawhi’s face when he was sitting on the bench at the end of game 7 against Denver in the bubble. He should’ve signed a 1and1 in Toronto to run it back one more time. In the bubble, the Raps were one shot away from another conference finals. I understand Kawhi always wanted to go home to LA and winter sucks for bad knees but he should’ve stayed in Toronto just one more year. Biggest “WHAT IF?” that nobody talks about.

As a GSW fan i took it on the chin. People say we only beat the Cavs in 2015 because of injuries and i dont support that argument because the Cavs were still up 2-1 going home. GSW only had 2 all stars in general and the Cavs had 4 with Kyrie, Love, LBJ , and Kyle Korver. Yes Kyle Korver was a all star that year. The 2019 Raptors deserved that chip. They earned it. They had a great playoff run and they were the DarkHorse of the league that year. The Raptors played as a complete unit and didn’t solely rely on their best player like the rest of the east was at that time. The Raptors are a tough team because they are still making the playoffs without Kawhi. I respect that they stayed competitive after Kawhis departure.

Great video bro, you're the one of the very few channels that I've seen that truly understands the greatness of this team. You pretty much highlighted all the reasons on why they were so successful that year that the mass media never covered. Although, if KD was healthy I believe it would've been a lot closer than people claim. They matched up with them really well. This team and Kawhi complimented eachother perfectly, and they all came together at the right time. Masai was an absolute genius in putting the personnel together and Nurse was as well for his innovative coaching. This was a team years in the making (Masai took over in 2013/14) and not a super team bought with money. They really reminded me of those early 2010's Spurs teams. Real shame that Kawhi chose to bounce, they easily could've gone back to back and potentially three peat (would've been really interesting to see 2021 Giannis face off with him)

As a Bucks fan, 2019 had me so pissed. We had finally made it back to the ECF for the first time since 2001, and packed up the Celtics on the way there. We go up 2-0, and then it was all downhill from there. Our starting PG Bledsoe is a career playoff choker, no one else could make a shot, some nights one of our top scorers was Illyasova, Fred had a kid and decided to not miss, and with the rest of the Bucks shitting the bed, the Raptors were just able to take out Giannis. It spawned a bunch of Giannis slander which only got worse after 2020, and damn near ended our championship window before it had even opened. We were 2 games away from the Finals, had a few things gone differently the Bucks could’ve been to 4 finals in a row by now.

To those discrediting the 2019 Raptors because they benefited from injuries, every championship received some luck. Here are some examples: 2022 Warriors benefited from injuries to Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr, and Ja Morant 2021 Bucks benefited from the Nets being banged up and Kevin Durant's big feet. 2020 Lakers benefited from the COVID bubble. 2018 Warriors benefited from Chris Paul's injury. 2017 Warriors benefited from Kawahi Leonard's injury. 2016 Cavs benefited from Andrew Bogut's injury, Stephen Curry being banged up, and Draymond Green's controversial suspension. 2015 Warriors benefited from injuries to Mike Conley, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving. 2014 Spurs benefited from Serge Ibaka being banged up. 2012 Heat benefited from Derrick Rose's injury. 2010 Lakers benefited from Kendrick Perkins' injury. 2008 Celtics benefited from Andrew Bynum's injury. 2007 Spurs benefited from Steve Nash's injury and Amar'e Stoudemire's suspension. Just because a team received some luck, doesn't mean their accomplishment should be dismissed.

In 2015, they did have the advantage. However, in 2016 they practically almost beat a healthy Cavs team again so they are on the same level. In 2017, Spurs lose with or without Kawhi. No one was beating that Warriors team that year. In 2018, the Rockets choked themselves my missing 27 straight 3 pointers, granted, maybe Chris Paul puts up a decent enough performance to win the series.
