Why even ask? If someone ghosts, they are a coward. A coward isn't going to be honest with you if you ask them! They'll just make up some BS, so not only will you have been ghosted - now you'll also have been lied to and you'll have lost their respect because you'll look as though you chased them! I used to do this to people , in a weird way I thought I was being nice that way I didn’t hurt their feelings by being honest . I see a lot of women in the comments. If a dude ghosts you, just move on. It shows his lack of interest and intent. Don't dwell on it and stop keep trying to reach out. If a guy is interested, he will show it. We match effort and energy. I don't ghost but my communication will slow as interest fades. Eventually you will get a "I'm just not that interested" or "hey, I've met someone else and plan to persue them seriously" text from me. Insecure guys will ghost to avoid confrontation. Personally, I work 2 jobs, 100ish hours a week, am a full time biology student, and have social obligations and a podcast, as well as 2 dogs to take care of. If you're chasing a "high value man", he's got things going on. I make time to text women I'm interested in. If he's not, he's just not that into you.

You're either talking to a bunch, or you can't find one to talk to at all. Unless previously discussed, you won't ever be the sole priority romantically. Before exclusivity is discussed, assume you can lose me, or I can lose you, and find the situation that's best for you, and I do the same. 100% assume others are competing for their attention if you're dating parallel or up, and act accordingly imo. Detatch, work on you, and let the guys who are actively interested in you, show you that. Play the field and don't invest everything in a single person who isn't giving that energy back to you. It's a waste of time. If they aren't showing interest in the talking phase, they won't show you interest if you convince them to date you long term either. That's just how I deal with it. I stopped saving numbers until dates have been had.

A friend from my younger days ghosted me 8 years ago. It was a devastating experience. We were in touch for years after college. Emails once in a while. Birthday wishes. Very casual ‘what’s up with you’ etc. Then I moved to the same city as him. I was excited to be able to meet after 12 years. I emailed, called, texted. Begged for a reply. I don’t blame myself for being ghosted, I blame myself for doing things that caused the other person to lose attraction for me. This is better because your focus is on yourself instead of the other person and you may realize some things about yourself that you can improve, instead of being clouded by the mystery of the ghosting.
