The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. I think that Dimash is really the most complex voice at the moment... There are many good voices with excellent melodies, but Dimash is on another level... not only technically, but also the power of expression that he conveys to the listener... those chills you get just listening to it... For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is quite interesting: The band that composed this song is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The lead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 from a heart attack and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poetess Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair and a mustache and who in the 2018 video (in the presentation in Sochi, Russia) accompanies Dimash Nessa song along with part of the band. What a great reaction! Always on point QoFy! I understand reactors not wanting to fake being overly-emotional or shocked, but then it starts to become the other side of the coin - many of them try to act overly cool & not show any surprise, when they should be jumping off their seats and rolling on the floor, considering what they just witnessed! But your reaction was sincere & enthusiastic, obviously there's no need to fake being shocked and blown away when it comes to Dimash. I wish more reactors were like that! BTW, I'm pretty sure you don't need the copyright screen blocks for any fancams. Also, you don't need them for older performances. But I'm not sure how far back that goes, so I guess "better safe than sorry". We don't mind them anyway, we've all seen these performances many times.😊

I agree that this is the better performance but the Slavic Bazaar has subtitles. As a fancam, I think copyright blocking is very unlikely. I agree that this is mindblowing every time. 😱 Not really sure I would survive a live concert. 🤣🤣🥰🇨🇦

This fancam is so brilliant😍 And yes please, someone recommended Daybreak. But please🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 do me and so many other Dears a favour and react to The Singer version first. I highly recommend you to watch the version with the story behind on the Gloria Wu channel first and then the one from his Bastau concert. It was the 8th performance of this competition. I don’t think there are copyright issues, because the videos on this channel are already edited and there are English subtitles. I think you will appreciate the Bastau version even more if you’ve seen The Singer version before. As somebody mentioned in a comment, I totally agree that it is always very frustrating when reactors jump on the Bastau version and don’t know the sad story of this song and don’t even try to activate the subtitles. I can understand that a lot of Dears prefer reactions to this version because it is just incredibly more powerful. In my opinion, however, it loses at bit of its impression, if you don’t know why he sings, the way he sings. This song tells a very sad but true story. You really have to watch this with subtitles. It’s really important to know what the song is about. In the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Many reactors do and so you can see the difference between this two performances. In both versions I always cry my eyes out. I don’t know why I have to cry more. Because of the story or the fact, that he was in such pain and performed anyway because he didn’t want to disappoint the audience. Both version were in the same year 2017. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today.
