Kids can sometimes have a purer understanding of Love than we do. It's a hopeful kind of love. It's just as we grow that hope gets crushed, sometimes over and over, but there is true love out there. As adults we think all teen love is stupid, but, I met the love of my life also at 15, and that's why this makes me cry. We've had our ups and down, never cheated but we're still here, laughing and having fun 26 years later. Not a single soul believed us when we got engaged at 17/18. True love can come along at any age, regardless they all have their challenges. And it's the challenges and work it takes that we weren't prepared for lol

At my age of 12, I knew what it was to be willing to throw myself in front of a car to keep the older girl I loved safe from harm. And I was okay with that need if it ever arose. I would have died for her, no matter what form that took. So don't always denigrate when a 12 or 13 year old tells you they're in love with someone: if it's only attraction, it'll be obvious. If it's fascination, likewise. But when they tell you they'd pay any price to keep them from harm, it's the real deal.

agree completely, I'm 15 turning 16 and met my soulmate at 14 (had pretty much just turned the age of 14), we just broke up due to distance sadly, but in my heart lies a feeling that I just know we we're meant to be. You can call me childish or naive and maybe you're right, but I just know and I don't know how to explain it. I love him deeply and would genuinely do anything for his well being no matter what that would be, even if it were never talking to him again. Hopefully we will try again in the future after we work on our individual problems. It's really hard but I would wait forever for him.

If it really was then I’m sure EVERYONE would agree love is a lie. But if it was a lie why are we debating? Why isn’t it scientific fact? Why is there irrefutable proof if exists? It does. True Love doesn’t even appear in normal means either. With grand gestures. It could start with an ice cream cone from years ago! And y’all drifted cuz of marriage or children or something. But believe me you have helped me see the error of my ways and I now know that true love is out there and I believe that I will find it. I estimate that this will take place right around the time that I run into Santa Claus so that I can ask him what happened to the train set I wanted when I was 8 years old. I was discussing this very topic the other day with my dear friend Bigfoot whom I hadn't seen in some time. He had just come from the pet store where he'd purchased an adorable baby Loch Ness Monster. But anywho, thanks for setting me straight guys.
@antonsjostrand60099 жыл бұрын
Timothy Humphrey You got it all wrong man, I didn't have time to explain last time, but now I think I should... Yes, there is no such thing as a "soulmate". The problem is that true love is so misunderstood. Most people's idea of "true love" looks something like this: Mr. or Mrs. Right is waiting out there somewhere, "the one" they are destined to be with. And that special someone is looking for them too, and it's only a matter of time before they meet each other, and of course, they'll both live happily ever after. Bullshit. Happily ever after doesn't exist. And "God" didn't hand pick one special person just for you. In fact, the whole idea of find fulfillment in someone else is an illusion. The truth is, love can only be found within. Most people how are looking for love are actually just running away from loneliness. They constantly settle for less than what they want, and less than what they deserve, because their greatest fear is to be alone. The fear of loneliness prevents us from experiencing real intimacy. "True love" lies beyong that fear. We have to face the unquenchable sadness deep withing us; the fact that in the end we all face death all alone. The truth is, "true love" requires real inner work that most people just aren't interested in. It requires that we are first happy with ourselves, know ourselves, accept ourselves and love ourselves. And we have to find our dreams and our passions before we can find "true love". So yes, it does exist, you have just misunderstood the meaning of the word itself, like many people do.

When I watched this I thought the same thing! Also, why would a kid start talking about love during his graduation? I get he was heart broken, but if I were a student, I would be wondering why he wasn't talking about the school year or something

@@Samantha777love yes.. I know that Hollywood romance movies tend to do this. Speak out their love in front of everybody else.. But not like this 🙄.. Such a shame. the story was great, but the ending scene was terrible
