Anxiety usually makes you hyper-observant, because you are in a state of heightened focus and excitation (not the "good" kind of excitation). Meanwhile adhd makes it a lot harder for you to direct your focus on the things you want to direct your focus on and also often comes with a worse short-term memory, than the average person has.

​@@LucaBl actually ADHD make you hyper aware of your surroundings since everything catches your attention, this is why they are constantly distracted. this makes it harder to maintain focus on boring things, but in turn makes you an amazing observer. the brain is also racing at every waking moment but not caused by fear like anxiety, it just doesn't shut up and is thinking at 500mph lmao. but that means people with ADHD are constantly noticing and thinking about everything their senses are experiencing. ADHD and anxiety symptoms manifest similarly in a lot of ways, but the factors driving those behaviors are vastly different.
