However, if it's unexpected entanglement, then it's not against the rules. Lil' Rip actually managed to break free of entanglement after the first instance, which was pretty amazing.

I dont know, first one it looked like the hotdog bot was pushing the others around and stopped a couple of them. Looked like at the end it was stopped, but I dont know if it was a knockout countdown or a end of match. Second match it actually stopped one and the other was in pretty rough shape, one wheel wasnt turning on it.

I think NHRL has some rules against entanglement-based weapons, though with everything that happened in this video i'm not so sure how strict those rules are.

@@sbilldmilkthe airbag is a valid weapon. In regards to entanglement - designs that are clearly intended to entangle are not allowed (and the airbag doesn't count as intended to entangle). However, there can be situations where entanglement can occur that is outside of anyone's control and isn't the intent.

Entanglement is against the rules. We had a competitor use an airbag in the past to blast opponents away but it entangled them so they’re not allowed in full tournament spec. This was just for fun.

This gave me an idea. Robot fights except you have to attach a glass jar of mayonnaise to your bot and the goal is to break the other bot's mayonnaise jar while defending your own. Adds a whole other element. Yes, it has to be mayonnaise. No, I don't know how they would securely attach a glass jar to metal.

I was literally thinking if someone made a robot with foam walls with tough string or fabric atuffed behind them, could cause some damage to spinners but then later in the video shows how well that airbag fabric worked for such a thing.
