NEVER Listened to POPPY

Poppy is a character. Her videos and music are based on the concept of the "perfect popstar" and based on this she criticizes pop culture, consumerism, technology, etc. A few months ago she exposed her director for an abuse situation, and since then her artistic direction has changed. She left her character and now makes Pop and Metal infused songs. I recommend you to do a second part, all her songs are very different from each other, she really deserves it

@@MathewMcKenna That manager also worked with another amazing singer named Mars Argo. He used Poppy when Mars Left to replace her. He abused her and suddenly everything just disappeared, all videos on their channel. she disappeared for a few years and came back in 2019 with a lawsuit, then disappeared again. there are still two videos on the channel which are two music videos, and reuploads of other videos that aren't music though. You should react to the two songs that are still up, Runaway Runaway, and Using You, both by Mars argo.

It has been just over two years since I discovered Poppy and she has been my favorite artist ever since. Poppy is never boring and is usually upbeat but never in a sugary way and her word play is at times pure genius. Poppy is a nickname and professional name for Moriah Rose Pereira. Poppy is also the name of her non-music video character where she plays a strange but rather sweet robotic type personality who observes humankind with sometimes disturbing expressions,but don't be fooled as this Poppy is a force for good.Poppy is a multidimensional person I have become very fond of....Poppy rocks!!! Fun fact: her abusive ex manager Titanic Sinclair basically sculpted her earlier character (which she did an incredible job developing after she left him) off of the character of Mars Argo, an indie pop singer who he managed/produced before Poppy. It's a really crazy story, but she left him because he was also abusing her. She deleted her channel, which had videos very similar to Poppys early ones, and basically fell off the face of the earth. Poppys early music had a lot of 90s mainstream pop influences, whereas Mars took inspiration from 90s grunge (in her non musical videos she acted like poppys ditsy pop star character, but looked more like courtney love, who herself had a very ruined-barbie type popstar aesthetic). Anyway I'd really reccomend doing a video on her. Shes got so much talent, but because of Titanic she never got the fame she deserved

Hey I love your work and critique and I think your commentary is super charming! I’d love it if you’d react to Ghost and Pals (Or GHOST). She’s a independent artist whose music and art career is mainly based on KZbin. She writes music for vocaloid programs and uses it as a form of storytelling for her own characters and worlds. Her music is very refreshing and beautiful in it’s own way especially in the vocaloid community which is mainly built on traditional media and pop culture. A song I’d recommend to react to would be Appetite of a people pleaser. It’s a song that gives a good baseline for her work and is one of her most recognizable pieces. if you're wondering abt poppy's backstory, and i may be wrong, however this is what i know happened: titanic sinclair had been controlling poppy, threatening her fans, ect. she finally ditched him, and is now making music that she wants to. also, i reccommend you listen to some of her newer music, like the i disagree album, although the top ones i would reccommend watching are, I disagree, Bloodmoney, X and Don't go outside. Since you loved Concrete, I would check out X, Play Destroy, and Scary Mask. Then the entirety of her latest album "I Disagree". lol Poppy has had a crazy busy timeline since she reached fame.
