Tony, once you hook up the grapple and any other implement mark the implement with white paint where your hook ups pads would go into. just a clean white line where you can see where your loader glides into. this way it's a lot easier to guide your loader into the slots. I have 574 cab and it's easier this way . From the west coast of Tennessee.

Just a few ponies short for running the saw efficiently Try bump the pto several times get the blade turning when turning on will be a lot easier on tractor and clutches. I ran one similar for years on pipeline ROW clearing. They also had under powered tractors on them it would kill the tractor trying to start like you did I had to bump it about 4 times to get blade turning and the moment helped start it easier. Nothing helps better than horsepower or torque just little things to do to get by with. One I drove was told needed at least 150 hp to run efficiently so they got a 115 hp tractor not sure what pto hp was obviously not 115 hp but once got it spinning I did the job. Just kinda slower. And just noticed you’re not that far away. Couple hours drive at best. Pretty cool
@TonysTractorAdventure7 күн бұрын
Ponies match the max tractor HP for the mulcher. We have used it for almost three years. At least 250 hours on this tractor.

I think Hank has the secret down pat for loaning of equipment. I remember he had an episode a year or more ago, when he loaned his Skidsteer ... in exchange for the loan of a mini-excavator. You know the person knows the value and maintenance involved, and you have collateral in the form of their equipment. Hank then proceeded nearly sink the dudes mini-ex in a swamp ... Oopsy!

For the money of the tree saw, you could get a top of the line chainsaw, without the hassel of maneuvering. Grapple and mulcher are awesome plus a wood chipper and your golden, way quicker and safer with chainsaw than tree saw
@TonysTractorAdventure7 ай бұрын
I totally disagree with the tree saw. I have ran both products, the tree saw and a top line chainsaw. Tree saw for the win! You just have to use it the way it was designed.

@@TonysTractorAdventure when you have to run out of the way the tree if falling with the tree saw that is totally unsafe you wouldn't catch me using that thing on any trees!
@roycebraman43117 ай бұрын
Just a personal opinion, but the tree saw is not as efficient as actually pulling the stump, great for removing smaller trees in a grove, then going back and removing the stumps.
@TonysTractorAdventure7 ай бұрын
I love it. It has quickly became my favorite attachment. I had rather not dig holes disturbing the ground. It takes so long to get it back level. It always settles and you have to bring more dirt in.

Man that tree saw on an open station tractor....it was nerve wracking enough using an excavator with a full cage on it felling trees. Be careful folks.
@TonysTractorAdventure3 ай бұрын
Warning! A closed station tractor only gives you the illusion of protection. If a tree falls on it while you're in it, it will crush around you. Glass will explode in your face. No factory tractor cab is rated for forestry work.

I don’t like the tree saw. Too many ways for trees or brush to fall wrong, especially on the operator. I am very familiar with trying to connect a grapple. Stand up and hold your breath. The more time you have the less time it takes. 😊

I have gravitated toward the tree saw. IMO, it is plenty safe as long as you think it threw. Kind of like a chainsaw. I think it safer than a chainsaw.
