Our grandparents, parents, etc taught us all these things, but didn't pass down the meaning behind it so we thought it was illogical and then colonization taught us we are backwards and not "civilized." Clearly we have a lot to relearn in this culture and faith as well. Our ancestors were busy trying to survive so they didn't have time to explain every little thing but I'm glad I come across videos like this that help me relearn these things so I can pass down the logic as well.

I’ve got so much of knowledge from Sadhguru about so many rituals that are present in India … still everyday I come across some new stuff and just wonder why it is so! Like he said, all these wisdom have become part of the Indian culture. People here now a days have no idea why they should follow it. Thanks to Sadhguru that because of him we came to know a lot more about the meanings of these rituals. Still an ocean of doubts remaining 🙇🏻‍♀️…

But now i know the reason for doing it because of you sadguru. The problem today is parents say do this do that but they don't give a reason or explanation they just say do it so it feels like its nonsense. But now that i follow u i know the reasons behind these practices. But i m sad that such beautiful and very important culture being lost.

@adeshacaruth5558
@adeshacaruth5558 Жыл бұрын
@@rknaaru what this man said is true and it is VERY harmful. This happened to me long story short, an ex good friend of mine believed by touching some one, she will be able to get or absorb traits she desired in the said person. We were both Christians and when she first mentioned this "palm to palm touching" concept to elevate I honestly thought it was ridiculous and thought nothing of it and I expressed this to her. Months later she started pressing her palm into mine or would just randomly touch me during our convos, still I thought nothing of it because I assumed she as my friend respected my wishes and would not do that to me. She had a severe pain at the back of her neck, before I knew it, I got the same pain, my spouse then also got this said pain. Told her about it she said it was prob a "spirit transfer" ( she was also training to be a pastor). Still I thought it was because we were hanging out regularly. She continued the palm touching, until I noticed after hanging out with her, I would be completely drained, going to work or feeling to do things I loved was an absoloute chore, had no love or desire for things in life, just like the guy said, it was an overlap of life experiences and it began to weigh me down. An exchange of energies because she was doing it with deep intent to take or copy or learn some of my positive traits and experiences was taking place. She had a very hard adult life so she passed negative energies or experiences onto me unfortunately. All of this was realised one day we were hanging out when she made mention of another mutual friend who was preparing for a work presentation. She said she observed said person and saw that they have a spirit of excellence and she has to find a way to touch them to get that same spirit of excellence. My jaw dropped and I stopped being friends with her because that explained why things started getting VERY difficult for me, I was almost literally unknowingly, unwillingly copying alot of her negative traits, she hated to exercise and go to work and very soon I did too amongst other things. I believe in God as well but idk why that happened. It goes to show that there are other spiritual laws that because of lack of knowledge we can easily become prey to things that can easily be avoided.

Well explained. Runanubandha will be carried for many lives of past and present life. The reference can be seen in Guru Charitha where Guru Dhatatreya says not even a dog can come near you if you do not have that runanubandha. There could be instances where one feels happy or agitated looking at strangers that is because your soul knows the experience it had with the another soul in past lives and it surfaces and reacts based on its experience.

What about doctors, nurses, massage & physical therapists. There are many professions where you touch people and care for people physically? What about Amritananda who hugs people everyday?

Not heard of soil or sesame seeds but have heard of salt and a knife too. Mum used to say it causes friction between people

That's true and that'sy in our culture during marriage ceremony, the bride's dad place hands of bride to the groom's hand saying that for next 7 lives, they will be together.. Our culture is so beautiful and meaningful.. Unfortunately, we all are forgetting these small things in this mechanical life..

@@nidhia6925 why stop just at 8th janam.. Maybe just like Radha and Krishna we can be together for eternity.. As to your point people change partners in this janam also.. The idea is to be together.. And there is a reason behind it.. If you have the necessary curiosity you can read about.. Ultimately it comes down to faith and I feel it is beautiful expression..

7 lives? So if thr groom is horrible she should be with him? Nothing beautiful about this part of the culture. Cursing own child!

@@kyriakizafeiriadou7681 what a baseless remark.. This is just a wish of the parents, of the bride and of the groom.. While we are doing this, we are also saying/assuming/praying that the groom/bride will be loving and that we would have a loving fulfilling relationship which we would like to have for all the next lives.. It need not necessarily happen...

@@AP-eb8hd Sciences develop based on an open mind. If, over a century ago, you heard someone say we can pick up sound and vision from thin air - or thirty years ago you heard that pocket or wrist devices will allow direct communication to others sitting thousands of miles away - what would you have said? Someone, somewhere accepted the theory, followed it scientifically, and technology followed. Don’t dismiss all ideas. They become science once proven. Otherwise you would still be sitting on a flat Earth with the stars going around you and believing someone has the last word on every subject because they say so. Perhaps millions on Earth still do that???
