The drummer is tight, the Sax is fire, keys are sharp, guitar sweet, bass banging!!!!!

Wow, this was so D-O-P-E! Each player is so on-point, DRUMS-"Killing it", Bass"Killing it", Keys"Killing it", and the SAX is on another lever of-"Killing it" in regards to playing the SAXXXXX. He basically was LUTHER 's vocals and all that incredible improvisation going on which was just perfection.

I'm thinking as long as the main guitar parts of the recording are there, all the other instruments could basically add their own flavor.

Gotta have a word with that sax player. I sense hes NEVER heard this tune till very recently. Vandross heads require you to play them exactly as he sung them. Luther was a human instrument. he could sing 3 notes and it would be catchy. And terence, bro you're making that Montage sing!

I appreciate the comment. I'm a huge Luther Vandross fan and Never Too Much I think is my favorite of his catalogue. I just like to make my own rendition of songs that I love very much, something most musicians do freely.

@@brianbestmusic Nah, bruh... Its a head everyone knows. You gotta play that $h!t MAD-STRAIGHT because your audience is going to be singing that head along with you. Adding even slight syncopation to well-established melody turns listeners off. I know this well. Im a performer and Im on some straight Steve Coleman /Steve Grossman type $h!t.

As a musician, it this felt like I was listening to a badly-altered melody of Luther’s voice. They played the song but didn’t cook it well and pay attention. Even the intro, the sax threw it a bit off. I’ve seen some of Terence’s performances and they were killin it, but this one👎
