One of the most profitable business is here to take e.g. a 3 room flat and create 3 one room studios out of it. Relatively the people pay then more for this smaller flats then. It is a good business for the owner. Same with the tiny appartments...more people per space = means more profit. It goes so far that here people in their 40s start to live again in shared flat like when they were Students. They "market" this as alternative and new lifestyle but to sum up it is just a reactions to the ridculous market prices!!! Also as soon as you have a partner or kids this whole thing is not working. Very well done and thought out. This is the best I’ve seen on NTS so far. Makes a difference when there’s experienced professional architects and especially when they have a functional overall plan like they do here. No gimmicks; everything works as it should in real life. 👏

You are right.currently renovating my 800++ sqft 3bedroom house, I've realized you can just slapped any furniture inside it to make sure you have enough storage etc.you need to customized everything. If you have no money,means less storage for you.because cant just buy cheap ready made furniture and fit them all into the house😓

@@wahana3115803 I did buy a lot of storage cabinets from IKEA and self install. Quite a nightmarish affair. Main reason is because the public housing I am in, HDB of Singapore, the wall is not straight. I ask IKEA how their installation would be like and they gave unsatisfactory answers. Saying would not make special arrangements for such curved walls. To be on the safe side I self installed. The end result maybe was 70 percent satisfactory, due to one man job and also someone chased me to return the drill. That said, the solution was not cheap. I didn't calculate how much I spent. But it might be 10,000 SGD just for the living room. Using Besta series. I used their Effectik series for the study room. That series is no longer selling. I highly suspected that the material is proned to growing mould. I encountered it on my shelf. I also installed upper cabinets in the kitchen. All one man job with no assistance. I think the best solution is to have as little possession as possible.

@FlyToInfinity5 жыл бұрын
1. Hong Kong isn't a capital city. 2. It's an island. There are notable exceptions, but many of these ridiculously densely populated cities have some kind of geographic feature like water or mountains which mean that if you want to live there, even if you're hella rich, you have to get creative with the space that's available.
