@@helloalanframe no, 42sq ft is on the larger side for a single person in paris: it is not uncommon for single people to live in spaces closer to 20sq m unless they're rich. However, the space really didn't look like 42sq m to me. It looked more like 35. That area is not on the more costly side of parisian real estate either; but is very trendy. The degree of cleanliness in the hallways and common areas were somewhat surprising to me: it's relatively rare. the cours was alright though: nothing too special.

Glass partition = genius element that makes entire thing work. Really appreciate that bed isn't shoved into a corner. Love mid-century modern table & chairs as visual centerpiece.

This is a great design. The continuity of the materials makes it seem like it's always been this way and simply happens to be perfectly preserved. The built-in bedside tables and shelves work perfectly. I was so surprised to hear the architect say that the space was initially dark, because it's beautifully full of light in its current iteration. Gorgeous design.

In absolutely love the all white in this apartment. It’s fresh, clean and makes it feel open and airy. I love how simple and uncluttered every room is. I loved the dining table and chairs, they are a perfect fit and style for the room. I love that there is no Tv, only a screen that discretely pulls up and down when needed. I own a big record collection and the same guitar so this space felt like home for me!❤❤

I visited this flat for buying it. Indeed, it was a two-bedroom apartment that was bought by the owner for their two sons to use during their studies. The distribution of the space was weird. I thought about a similar solution, but the apartment was too expensive for all the work that need it.

This is one of the best organized and decorated apartments in this channel for me. I love the fact there are this much light colours such as white and cozy wood and that there's space also for wardrobe and places to put everyday items, not only for "architect like but impractical" decorations 😂

I wish you had shown that the WC has a sink. So many people think that that isn't neccessary. But it is! Very, very much!!! Otherwise great changes to the layout. Beautiful minimalism. Loads of storage for clothing and even a pull-out work-station. Its really lovely!

@@l.a.3479 The water closet was separate from the shower room. The little water closet had a sliding door and was right behind the kitchen. The shower room had a nice oak sink beside the shower and the cupboard where the washing machine was. There was no toilet in that shower room. If the little watercloset had its own sink it would be perfect for guests visiting, as then they wouldn't be going through your bedroom.

Being a huge fan of marine blue, I loved that the blue pendent lights repeated the blue of the front door. Had this been my living space I would have picked a tile with some blue in it for the kitchen floor and found a way to work blue into the bedroom accent wall (maybe a blue and white wallpaper?) I love the window/wall between the BR and DR and the ample storage.

Beautiful...the only thing I would change is the direction of the bedroom/dining room shades. If you have the shades pulled up rather than pulled down, it creates privacy, still looks cool, and allows light to flow through.

Although a bedroom was taken out of the equation to the apartments layout, the new design configuration is SPECTACULAR. Truly amazing that its flooded with natural light. The window to the bedroom is such a BRILLIANT idea. Along with the floor to ceiling cabinets throughout the space for ample storage. I could not agree more with her perspective of renovating existing buildings to bring them back to their heyday. It shows a persons love and respect for the old with a 21st century mindset. The architect should give herself a pat on the back for this project. ❤❤❤ WELL DONE.

Very well considered with regard to natural light and lighting, with plenty of storage options. The doubling of circulation space with kitchen space is a neat idea, even though some people may find a kitchen at the entrance a bit odd. It is nonetheless well equipped, and in a neighbourhood full of other dining options, would be more than adequate for a single person’s needs. Lucky owner to live in such an elegant, heritage building!

As Parisian apartments go, this is huge! The architect has certainly made excellent use of every available space to where you can have lots of storage with a fully functional kitchen and a comfortable bedroom. I really like the fact that she separated the toilet from the shower so that company doesn't have to walk through the owner's private area. The living room and dining room areas are quite large and can easily accommodate up to six guests, maybe more. The 20th Arrondissement is actually a pretty good area of Paris. I think this apartment must have cost a fortune!

I love it. Could definitely live in it. Watched it several times to get the details. If I were the client, I’d like a more bright kitchen. So I would move the bathroom to the left hand side of the entrance, and an L-shaped open kitchen besides it. This way the kitchen and bathroom would both have windows. But this way the bathroom would be much smaller than the design in this video. I guess it’s just everyone’s priority. Overall, this layout design opens up my eyes on how you can totally rewrite a plan. I love the continuity it created. Great great design and the terra-cotta is absolutely beautiful

This is a lovely makeover of a small space. One thing I would change: I’d put the speakers on speaker stands on both sides of the stereo furniture piece. The way it is right now, when sitting on the sofa, the music signal originates on the right hand side, which doesn’t do justice to the stereo output.
