Can you do ERS management next? Haven't found any recent videos on that so I suggest it'll be a perfect idea for a next tutorial video! Keep the videos popping :D
@BLENDITE
@BLENDITE Жыл бұрын
just figured it out a few days ago. I’d suggest using it at the start of a long straight, get to a certain speed, (At monza’s start finish staright it was around 330 kph). Also, try the ERS amanagement practice programme in career mode.

@@BLENDITE Yeah all I know is that it's good for getting quick acceleration onto straights and closing the gap faster on cars close to you. I've only come across the ERS management twice, but then again with those programms you kinda just use enough to get u a good lap time and save the rest so it can get to the optimal range instead of balancing it through the track. Thanks for the tips though.

@@operatordingothe way i do it is if im chasing a car i use enough coming out of corners or on straights to where it evens out at the end of the lap. like say im racing austria and its lap 12 i have 65% ill use about 15% on the straights aftet t1 and t3 and on the start straight.if your about ti pass someone you would obviously use more but i wouldnt use it more than a quater of the way down a straight,if im about to pit in 2-3 laps depending on how fast you regain ers on that track, and then i would use 2-3x what i would use normally getting down to about %30. then i would start saving after i pit using none until im at about 50-60% or if im fighting someone you obviously use some. its really all about whats going on in the race, what track your at, ect. you can obviously use more on the straights at qatar than monza, you can use more if you have more, and dont get down to 10-20% unless your within a few laps of finishing or pitting.

I would say the easiest way to learn a track is from telemetry line on time trial. You get actual driving lines and braking points without the overwhelming colors of the in-game racing line. Plus you get to snatch guaranteed good setups. Good vid anyways
@SnakezF1

tt setups wont be optimal for league races though
@mochingrape69
@mochingrape69 Жыл бұрын
surprisingly enough tt setup this year works pretty good on race as well. turn down the wing level and some slight adjustment on ARB you'll be good to go. Although an actual race setup is preferable not all people have time to learn and change the setup to their liking

Turning off the racing line is like getting rid of the training wheels on your bike: at first it can be scary and you might get bruised a few times, but you’ll learn balance, focus and be better for it. Looking at the line you’re reacting to it instead of leading it and it’s also distracting, since every millisecond looking at the line is less time and focus away from your surroundings, the upcoming apex, other cars around you and your own line and car placement. Finding your own braking points it also relatively easy, since most of the time you’re braking somewhere between before the 100 and just after the 50 meter boards and there’s a finite number of corner types to learn (in the game at least). Using the racing line has itss benefits and it can be a good idea to turn it on once in a while even though you wouldn’t normally use it, just to see how it matches up to your natural line and braking points, maybe there’s time to be found with it, but relying on the line and having it take away part of your focus will at least slightly slow down the development of that natural feel and awareness.

The only reason i use the racing line is for the braking point, i still drive and use the entire track and don’t follow the apex line but take my own wider lines and use the curbs. I also set it to only show up in corners, again only using it for the braking point, i’ll try turning it off.

You aren't though, you are subconsciously placing the car where the line is. I said the exact same thing at first, until I turned it off.

The truth is that the only way to drive without racing line is learning the track. You gotta memorize when to break, how much to break, which gear to use, where to turn and when to turn for every single track you will run. On top of that, practice, and practice, and practice until your brain gets used to it. There's no shortcut, no magic tips and tricks, no easy way to do that. The fastest way to learn how to drive without racing line is to get someone's setup and a tutorial of the track where you'll learn the gears and breaking points from someone that already knows. As my father used to say, if you don't know how to do it, find someone that knows how. Eventually you'll develop your own driving style and find out your own braking points. But at the beginning, do yourself a favor, get a tutorial, don't make yourself frustrated trying to learn something out of tips and tricks.

Racing line is not creating any bad habit, actually it is creating good habit. You will not be limited or be slower. It just helps. Turning it off is all about realism.
@AllardWolff

Not completely true. Line isn't always the best approach in a corner. It also makes people fixate on the line and not their surroundings, resulting in rear ending opponents. In time trial sure, but in actual races you're better off without

@@AllardWolff Well, the line is teaching you how to turn on a corner and hit the apex and this is how it is creating good habits. Maybe it is not always the greatest way to approach the track (mainly after the apex) but that is dependant on your next corner if it comes at you fast. Concentrating either for the line or a 100meter board same same, anyway it distracts your attention a littlebit. Abs and tc, they are creating bad habits.
@griddrop
@griddrop Жыл бұрын
i think it creates good habits when first getting into racing games, but it is definitely good to disable it once you get more experienced

Yeah I agree. As mentioned in the description. It's the last major assist to be turning off and as someone completely new to F1 I don't know the tracks at all, and I first started racing F1 through roblox games and it taught me about apex and the overall idea of a racing line. Then going into F1 23 well it's more realistic obviously, i have to worry about not spinning out and maintaining control of my steering so many new factors come in and I wouldn't have a clue of where to start if it weren't for the racing line. You use it to familiarise yourself with the layout and once you start getting fastest laps on practices then it's time. F1 World might help since I did see a series on track acclimatisation to start getting familiar driving on tracks without the racing line.

F1 World actually has really good track learning races I didn’t even realize what was happening when I first did one. It takes you through three races one with full line, one with braking only and a final with no line but again I wasn’t paying attention so by the final race I didn’t even realize until halfway through the race that there was no racing line

here’s a few: -bahrain: has very recognizable braking points and is generally quick to learn -monza: again, recognizable braking points and is a very straightforward track -spa: lastly it’s a bit more challenging to learn the braking points but has a lot of diverse corners which will help you on most other tracks
