Interesting how many have scored their first win around the 110-115 range... It doesn't feel accidental. I suppose that's how many races the average F1 driver needs to get into a race-winning capable seat. Also, holy hell, Perez almost reached the top before his first win... it doesn't feel like he's been in the game for that long.

I was expecting Chris Amon's name in that list. But, back in his career, there were only 9 to 11 races a season; unlike the 15 ~ 20+ races a season in the generations after Amon's retirement. Amon was branded as being the unlucky F1 driver for not having won a points counting race; but, decades later Amon said that as a F1 driver, he was lucky . . . lucky to have survived into old age. The short F1 seasons from a half-century ago was great for spectators, in that the F1 drivers could be seen in sports car races in the same calendar year.
