NEW 10.5" Joying Auto Android Head Unit Install on Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ/FRS Android Auto/Car Play

What year is your car? Were all the wires in the correct place, or did you need to move anything around? The radio antenna has an extra blue wire that's not attached to anything - does that just hang loose, or did you plug it into anything? Do you have an OEM backup camera - and if so, how did you wire that? Did you need to plug the amp wire into anything?

My car is 2013 and it doesnt come with reverse camera. The blue wire with the antenna can be connected to the antenna wire from the harness. It simply just amplify the radio reception. It might not need to be connected if you are always in suburban areas. I believe our cars dont come with amps and I could be wrong. I just left the amp wire hanging. As for the reverse camera, I ordered a aftermarket one. I have made a separate video for that one. Let me know if you have more questions, man. I'll do my best to answer them.

It sounds better than stock. I can't be so sure about the output. That's not quite my area.

Did you consider the 11.6" unit? What made you decide to go with this one?

Yes I did. The 11.6 has a much better display but the display is gonna cover most of the AC vent. Personal I sweat so much in summer. Besides display size and resolution, the hardware should be exactly the same. Intel 8 core and 4g ram. 10.5 also save me about 100aud.

Bro is there a way to change a setting to stop the head unit from going into sleep mode? I want to turn it off when the ignition is off to save my battery. Thanks!

Yeah man. Go to factory and type 3368 go all the way down and look for sleep mode settings.

You don't need a dongle. It should connect wired or wirelessly

With this 10.5" 2 Din unit, Can it be installed without having the top edge of the screen to get into the air vents on top? I think i can see in the video that the top edge overlaps the air vent some what.

Yes, the clips from the back of the screen are removable. I haven't adjust the clips. It might looks kinda overlaps the vent but it doesn't. It might just be the position of the camera.

@@maxbulkyhulk thanks so much for your reply. Does the lower edge of the screen get into the way when you are shifting gears? I ask because I just want the biggest screen that doesn't block either air vents and the hand shifting.

@@nikornvittulananda2860 No worries mate. I believe this is the biggest one for our 86s. At least that is the conclusion from my research. The screen doesn't get in the way of anything. It sits quite close to the dash piece. The only down side might be adjusting the intermittent wipers. If you have any questions I m happy to help

Honestly, I m not 100% sure about that. My car is 2013 and it doesn't come with a factory reverse camera. Best way might be contact joying directly. Sorry mate.

Got the harness from joying website. Think it s meant for Hilux but works for 86s too

Do not buy Joying products. I have same head unit with too many problems with it. The Joying customer service does not help me. They say "your order number is bad" while I send them a screen shot of a purchase on ebay. The unit has screen problems, network and bluetooth connection problems, car canbus connection problem, and the main problem - it does not play a sound on the car rear speakers. It's just a poor quality chinese product with no warranty. Be aware! See my videos about joying head unit problems!
