I think we are all just learning A.R and will all end up with foils that have different A.R for different situations wave, downwind ,flat, speed , freestyle, Great fun learning it all .Nice video and great insites thanks 😊

I have 5 sessions so far on my Lift 150X, mostly winging in the surf, with the 26 carve tail. My experience with it concurs that it is an ABSOLUTE amazing blend of speed, efficiency, stability and maneuverability. Nick and the Lift crew hit this one out of the park. It takes a little more board speed to take off as compared to the 170HA, but not much more and once up the extra speed and glide give many more options for lines to take in the surf. I can't wait to get an SUP session with it. You got me curious about the 110X now. I'm a little North of 180 lbs when geared up for winging, could you please let us know what Evan's weight is for a reference?

I think for most the 150HA X is perfection the 110HA X you just have to be on your game with a little more speed but has glide for days! The 150 HA X truly I think is perfect for anyone that wants to feel an incredible performance wing, for speed, downwind and overall ease in the HA range of foils. Evan weighs 170 lbs.

Hi Guys, first of all thanks a lot for your tutorials. Well done and very very helpful. I wonder if you could provide a tutorial for speed winging and/or riding in high winds. I am sure that there are some techniques that will make me faster and gives you more control even if you are overpowerd. For some reasons i haven´t really found a good tutorial for that. I am sure its possible, but it will not be as user friendly on the low speed lift like some larger high camber wings out there. 100% possible though. Just a little more advanced of a rider.

@@CenterofLift what I heard is that these faster wings like to fly straight with the wind overtaking bumps so my question is if they also performs well cutting across traversing the bumps in cross onshore winds. Maybe the 120 have a small edge on such conditions compared to 90 and 110 that ride better dead downwind

@@cefirmeza There are so many variables in this sport that I find it difficult to say one foil is better than another. The riders weight, skill level, sea and wind state changes the downwind foil performance. I have found that the X foils just "feel" faster and more efficient. The biggest difference is the amount of forward speed needed to get up on foil. The X foils and smaller foils in general require more speed. So the 120 gets on foil at a slower speed than the 110. So my recommendation is to get the 120 if you are a less experienced rider.

@@DamienLeroyKZbin Thanks for the reply Damien! I just got to try the 150 High Aspect X on my 4'9 Lift 3 and I absolutely love it! I got a lot more ride time and it reached high speeds with less throttle. Do you think the smallest rear wings like a 26 or even 20 carve would pair well with the High Aspect X front wings? I'm trying to find the ideal wing setup to reach the top speeds possible on the E foil and I also love surfing boat wakes!

Really good video of skilled filers but could have done without fouls cutting thru a crowded line up of surfers, I see big conflicts on the horizon with this. For the record, not opposed to foils at all.
