Those 18 speeds shine when you are pulling heavy. So glad you got it going, I can tell you are happy to be back in the saddle.

Doesn't feel like such a big step from low to high range when pulling a steep grade from a stop, like some on ramps.

I have one of those harbor freight transmission jacks. I believe the are rated for twice what they can handle.

hanging the clutch on the input shaft cracks the front bearing, it will fail eventually. anything but a eaton or meritor clutch is a very bad idea, the trp are eatons, you did not need the fiber washer it is for worn bearing plates, yours is new, get a blind hole puller to remove pilot bearings, otc makes a cheap one, the flywheel bolts on isx are 21mm 12 point and are very easy to remove, the reason the bearing is in so far there is a spacer on the end of the crank someone has left out at some point in the past, hopefully you used antiseeze on the yoke splines, the isolator bushing kit is weld on, you cut the old one and drive the stick down and reweld it, there is also a oring and washer below the dust cover, you take the spring out of the shifter tower and pull it apart, when it completely wears out the stick will pop out while in gear and lodge, fun times ensue. if you have to much clutch brake squeeze there are allen bolts with nuts on the firewall that you can adjust on volvo so you dont break your clutch brake, or dont mash it all the way down while moving,

Lots of people hang the clutch on the input with no problems. Lots of people use other clutches with no problems also, that was the only clutch I could get my hands on beside a self adjusting, which I didn't want because people have problems with those and was more expensive as well. Guess I'll see how good it is... You are correct on the fiber spacer, I wasn't sure with that brand clutch if the spacing might be weird so I figured it would be easier to chisel it off if needed once I got it bolted up, which I did... The incorrect shifter bushing was all I could get, just had to make it work. Guy acted like I spoke another language trying to tell him what I needed. Didn't have a week to order a blind pilot bearing puller either, no spacer on these. I have 2 of these trucks and neither had a spacer. The input shaft broke and pushed the bearing further in than it should have been. I have removed the flywheel before, it might not be hard, but it's sure heavy if you don't have anything to pick it up with but yourself, good way to get hurt. I have another jack that I modified for that, but I put it 10ft in the air on a shelf with my tractor to save space and then I piled 9 yards of crap in front of the shelf so I can't get to it 😂 wasn't really planning to use it anytime soon 🤣 don't know if this truck has the bolts you speak of or not haven't looked. I have an 04 and 06 truck, same engine and while a lot is the same, there are many differences between the 2 trucks you wouldn't think would be.

@@LifeWithChase spacer number 4026528 sits behind the flywheel on the end of the crankshaft, 36 years of diesel mechanic have removed a few flywheels, 15 years in a volvo kw dealership, seen it all

Looks like you need bushings & linkages for the bottom of the gearstick too, very loose shifting.
