DJ THE SHOOTER and their customer service is second to none. We had an issue early on(first 3 months) with our 911 and the basically doubled or warranty period. We now have a super car with a 100k mile warranty. Pretty awesome.

DJ THE SHOOTER we had an oil leak from a “pinched seal” with around 1000 miles on the clock. It’s no fun having to drop an engine on a brand new car, but they did take care of us after only a little complaining. We also we given $1500 towards and service in the future that we may need that’s outside of warranty. They went above and beyond and that’s why I like telling everyone. They basically bought some cheap advertisement with me haha.

I have a Porsche macan diesel S and live in the UK. Google macan transfer box issues and you will find this statement fundamentally untrue. Mine broke with 30,000 miles on the clock, many many others out there. Porsche dealers SIX WEEKS wait & £4000 to fix. Had the work done at a Porsche specialist for £1700 within a week. Yes the dealers suck too!

Firstly: Thank you for properly pronouncing "Porsche". It hurts my ears how some of your compatriots pronounce it. The rest: quite nice, given that no test drive is included/could be included at the time and you could only use marketing images/clips by the manufacturer. The emphasis on price seems to be interesting, though, as you wouldn't expect the 911 to become cheaper, do you?

Regarding the "new improved price"....don't forget, the price includes PASM, now standard on even the base 992. At LA Auto Show, Porsche rep said base model will start at about $99K, but since that now includes PDK and PASM as standard equipment (plus all the new tech stuff), it's not that big of a price increase over the 991.2. My other thought about the "shaver-style shifter": the old shifter made it easy to switch to Manual mode, by moving the lever to the left. The new one won't do that. There is an "M" button on the center console, which means you need to take your eyes off the road to find it. I hope there's another way to engage/cancel Manual mode! Like, hold either of the steering wheel shift paddles for a second, or something similar that you can do without having to look for a button. But it's still an awesome car!

I find the front looks very different - much more plain but if you configure it with the sports fascia - it is greatly improved from this standard. I also like the hood lines of the new model - but agree I have yet to see anything making me want to drop my 991 (which is a 'forever car' for me)

I don't think a car that adds a 10% increase in performance spec, new safety features, etc - but *only* increases price ~4.5% is a 'bad thing'. I own a 991.1 911 that 'came with' the performance package (normally a $16K option) and it added a paltry 8% increase in performance) - yes these cars are expensive relatively speaking - but considering the market and other car price increases that don't offer as much performance changes - this remains a heck of a bargain in the car class it belongs. And while racing car drivers are now paddle all the time across all *racing teams* - those of us who love the PDK but want the /feel/ of a shift, will miss the shifter knob. What I want to see is what the GTS Convertible will look like in the coming months.
